The phone screen went dark, plunging the lounge into total shadows. The neon lights from outside filtered hrough the half-drawn curtains, barely illuminating the room’s silhouette.

Ethan tossed and turned, unable to sleep.

Before dawn, he got up and straightened himself out, sitting at his desk and waiting for Mia to arrive.

Around 8:00 AM, Ethan’s phone rang.

It was Mrs. Hale Sr.

Grandma Hale was referring to setting Mia up with Jaxon Rivers.
