“It’s a separation agreement between me and Bayview. It has my signature and Ethan’s.”

Mia flipped to the last page, her eyes lingering on Ethan’s signature.

“Holy shit!” Nina dropped Toby and snatched the document, scanning it quickly before her voice jumped an octave. “Holy shit!”

“When did this happen? Why did you just quit out of the blue?”

Nina stood up and scrutinized Mia. “Are… are you okay? If you’re hurting, just cry. Let it out.”
