Someone pitched the idea, and the group quickly jumped on board.

The room fell silent for a heartbeat, but seeing no displeasure on Archer's face, the lively atmosphere immediately resumed.
After a few rounds, the blonde woman spun the empty liquor bottle again. Everyone held their breath, watching it spin.
It spun three times before slowly coming to a halt.
The base pointed at Archer.
The neck pointed at Virginia.
"Ooh!"
The suite erupted into roars of laughter and teasing. A flash of disappointment crossed Henry's eyes again, but he played along enthusiastically. "Mr. Vanderbilt, you have to choose truth! It's mandatory!"
Archer, who had been leaning halfway back against the sofa, slowly sat up straight. Half of his chiseled, handsome face was cast in shadow, making his emotions impossible to read.
Ignoring the crowd, he locked his gaze onto Virginia's face.
"In the past... did you ever love me?"
The moment the words dropped, an eerie, dead silence overtook the suite.
It felt as though someone had hit pause on the background music.
Virginia's fingertips twitched.
Feigning absolute composure, she looked up and met his eyes.
Archer was sitting rigidly, his shoulders squared and his jaw tight. His face betrayed nothing, but those normally stagnant eyes were now swirling with turbulent emotions she couldn't decipher.
She broke eye contact, picked up the glass in front of her, and downed it in one go.
The crowd glanced nervously between the two. Finally, someone broke the ice with a drawn-out "Wow," dissolving the awkward tension in the room.
Archer's gaze turned somber, but he didn't press the matter further.
