He turned to the last page, took a sip of his Americano, and leaned back in his chair.

"Ms. Caldwell, leave this case to me. You have absolutely nothing to worry about."

"What I need you to prepare are the consultation files, informed consent forms, and treatment plan logs. Send me digital copies of everything."

"Oh, and you should have her intake assessment report from when she first came in, right? Send that over as well."

Virginia nodded blankly. "I'll organize everything and email it to you today."

Julian tossed the letter onto the table, tore open his bag of chips, and tossed one into his mouth.

Archer narrowed his eyes, shooting him a sharp, intimidating glare.

Julian immediately sat up straighter. "Don't worry, Boss. This case is a slam dunk. I just skimmed it, and their grounds for the lawsuit are riddled with holes. Knowing Silas, he likely only took this case because he was paid an exorbitant fee."

Swallowing the chip, he added, "Honestly, the person pulling the strings behind the scenes is way more interesting than the case itself."

Virginia looked at him, then at the practically scowling Archer, and said nothing.

Julian winked at her. "Ms. Caldwell, put your mind at ease. The Boss specifically requested me for this. If I lose, I might as well resign from my position as Chief Legal Officer."

Virginia thanked him, then turned her attention to Archer.

"I owe you a favor for your help today. I'll make sure to repay it when I get the chance."

Watching their dynamic, Julian couldn't help but mentally whistle.
