His Wicked Obsession (Archer and Virginia) novel Chapter 230

The door swung open to reveal Archer holding a stunning bouquet of flowers in one hand and a delicate little cage in the other. Inside sat an adorable ball of snowy-white fluff.

"A bunny!" Cynthia shrieked with absolute delight, throwing herself onto the floor right in front of the cage. Her massive eyes sparkled brighter than stars. "Is it a real bunny!?"

"It's fully vetted and perfectly healthy for you to keep."

Despite his reassurances, Archer was still slightly terrified the tiny rabbit might nip at Cynthia's fingers, keeping a firm grip on the cage until he slipped off his shoes and carefully set it onto the soft living room rug.

Virginia peeked her head out from the home office. Her gaze landed on the cage holding the pristine, floppy-eared bunny and the little girl practically vibrating with excitement beside it, her eyes softening instantly.

"You're spoiling her rotten."

Archer unfastened his cuffs and rolled up his sleeves, his tone completely nonchalant. "She told me she loves bunnies. I happened to see the perfect one while I was away on business, so I brought it back."

While he spoke, the little girl had already popped open the tiny metal door.

She reached out a chubby little finger to stroke its long ears. The rabbit merely twitched its nose, refusing to run away.

"It's so sweet! Mr. Archer, what's its name?"

"Why don't you pick a name for it?"

Cynthia tilted her head in deep thought before making her solemn announcement. "Can we name it Snowball? It's so cute and perfectly white!"

"That's a brilliant name," Archer praised, an affectionate warmth lighting up his pitch-black eyes.

Swept up in the heartwarming scene, Virginia couldn't help but walk over to join them.

Cynthia took a fresh carrot stick from Mrs. Benson to feed her new pet, while Archer sat close by, carefully teaching her how to pet the animal without scaring it. Virginia crouched on the other side, occasionally reaching out to stroke the incredibly soft fur.

Watching the three of them, Mrs. Benson couldn't suppress the massive, delighted smile spreading across her face.

The entire apartment radiated a cozy, profound warmth that made them look exactly like a perfect, happy family.

In all the three years Mrs. Benson had worked for them, she had never seen Virginia look so completely relaxed and at peace.
