His Wicked Obsession (Archer and Virginia) novel Chapter 263

South Hill.

The car rolled to a smooth stop, and Archer stepped out first.

His tailored trousers remained impeccably sharp, without a single wrinkle despite the ride.

Turning back, he naturally raised a hand to shield the roof of the car for Virginia. They then walked into the living room, one after the other.

The crystal chandelier cast a soft, warm glow across the room.

Virginia handed the jacket—still carrying the distinct scent of Oud & Bergamot—to the approaching nanny, then looked over at Archer.

"I'm going to my room. You should get some rest too."

A dark flash crossed Archer's eyes. Reaching out, he expertly caught her slender wrist.

She paused, looking up at him in confusion.

The towering man took a half-step closer, his massive frame instantly casting her in his shadow.

The wooden prayer beads on his wrist brushed against her soft skin, the cool sensation causing a slight tremor in her gaze.

"Virginia," he rasped, his voice incredibly thick.

Before she could respond or push him away, he dipped his head and captured her lips.

He had wanted to do this the entire car ride...

It was a wildly tender kiss, tentative and restrained, yet carrying an undeniable, overwhelming dominance.

Completely engulfed in his scent, Virginia found herself trapped in his embrace, her fingers unconsciously clutching the fabric of his tie.

"Mommy, Mr. Vanderbilt, what are you doing?"

A sweet, childish voice floated down from the top of the stairs.

Over the past six months, the little girl's enunciation had improved significantly.
