His Wicked Obsession (Archer and Virginia) novel Chapter 287

She wasn't mistaken. She was the lucky "07."

She turned to look at Archer, her brow furrowing slightly. "I'm not a Vanderbilt Group employee. It's not appropriate for me to accept this prize."

This car easily cost hundreds of thousands of dollars just to drive off the lot. And the color... it was blatantly obvious that it had been chosen specifically for a woman.

"What's not appropriate?" Archer adjusted his cufflinks, speaking as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "The numbers were handed out randomly, and the raffle system selected the winner automatically. It's your luck that you won. Just accept it."

Virginia wanted to argue, but Zachary had already appeared with perfect timing, respectfully holding out the car keys.

Virginia was speechless.

"The next part of the gala is a bit tedious." Archer glanced at his watch. "Give me a moment. I'll come right down after I give my speech."

Three minutes later, Archer stepped onto the stage.

He removed his mask, revealing that untouchably perfect, aristocratic face. An immediate, collective gasp swept through the audience.

The female executives who had wanted to approach him earlier but lost their nerve were practically green with regret.

"Over the past year, Vanderbilt Group has firmly held the number one market share in the AI technology sector." He stood tall before the microphone stand, his voice deep, steady, and commanding. "I appreciate all of your hard work. Next year, our target is the global market. Let's continue to push forward together!"

There were no drawn-out monologues and no empty corporate promises.

It was brief, decisive, and radiated absolute authority.

The moment he finished speaking, thunderous applause erupted through the ballroom.

Archer walked off the stage, handed the remaining hosting duties over to his vice president, and took Virginia straight down to the underground parking garage via the private elevator.

The ice-berry pink Porsche was parked in the VIP bay.

Virginia wasn't stupid. She quickly put the pieces together, a helpless smile flickering in her eyes.

Archer casually took the car keys from her hand. "I'll drive. Let's go for a ride."
