"Mr. Hunter."

A low, dangerous voice cut through the air.

Valentin turned his head to see Archer standing a few feet away, his expression absolute murder.

Beside him stood Carlton Lambert, looking equally surprised.

The gallery was actually funded by Centennial Group, and Carlton had personally invited Archer for a private viewing. None of them expected to run into Valentin.

Let alone catch him being harassed by a stranger.

Archer's face was completely shadowed as he strode over.

The sheer intensity of his terrifying aura made the young woman jump. She instantly dropped Valentin's sleeve, stumbled backward, and practically sprinted away.

Archer didn't even look at her. His dark, furious gaze was locked entirely on Valentin, his voice dropping to a lethal whisper.

"Mr. Hunter."

Valentin raised a perfectly sculpted eyebrow but didn't respond.

"Have some self-respect."

Coming from Archer, the accusation was laughable. Valentin blinked in surprise, then quickly caught his meaning, his expression hardening.

"You're overstepping, Mr. Vanderbilt."

"If you are going to pursue someone, keep your hands clean," Archer practically growled, standing tall and imposing in his immaculate suit.

Carlton stood off to the side, thoroughly enjoying the drama. Two powerful men fighting over a woman—it reminded him of his own youth...

Valentin let out a low chuckle, his eyes gleaming with defiance. "Virginia has absolutely nothing to do with you anymore. I am pursuing her, and my intentions are entirely genuine."

"And since you're with her sister, I'll do you the courtesy of explaining: I had never met that woman before in my life."

Hearing the phrase 'with her sister' sent the temperature around Archer plummeting below freezing.
