The little boy with chubby cheeks saw Virginia and Cindy and immediately pressed his face against the window, waving his little hands frantically. "Auntie! Auntie! Get in!"

Cindy's eyes lit up. Not only did she refuse Virginia's outstretched hands, but she also wrapped her arms tightly around Archer's neck.

"Let's go. I'll take the kids to get something to eat." Archer's tone was casual. His face still held that icy expression, but a fleeting smile flashed through his eyes.

Virginia opened the car door and got in with Cindy, not sparing Archer another glance the entire time.

The car was very quiet, save for the constant chatter of the two children.

Before long, Archer parked the car in front of an upscale private club downtown. He had booked a private room in advance, boasting massive floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked half the city's skyline.

The two kids sat together. They didn't eat much, spending most of the time talking and occasionally laughing so hard they leaned back and forth.

Archer sat across from them. Although he didn't say anything, he would lower his head and patiently pick every tiny bone out of Cindy's fish.

His movements weren't exactly expert, but on a man as cold and distinguished as him, it had a unique charm.

Watching this from the side, Virginia's fork paused in mid-air.

Snapping back to reality, she lowered her eyes, took a bite of beef tenderloin, and said nothing.
