Hitched & Hitched Again: A Comedy of Marital Mayhem novel Chapter 1826

Seeing Axel's brutalized state, Tarquin's heart bled. He was devastated!

The three of them had grown up relying on each other, closer than biological brothers!

Even though Axel was highly skilled and always protected him, in his eyes, Axel was just his little brother.

They beat his brother half to death. This score had to be settled!

It would be settled!

Rizzo met Tarquin's gaze, trembling in terror, and hastily picked up the knife!

He hesitated, shaking uncontrollably, before gritting his teeth and screaming as he slashed his own chest over a dozen times. He sobbed, his whole body convulsing in agony.

Tarquin kept driving, his expression utterly cold. "You're still missing a chunk of flesh."

Rizzo wept and begged for mercy.

"Please let me go! I'll never mess with Eagle again, Iβ€” Ah!"

Before Rizzo could finish, his words turned into a bloodcurdling shriek!

Tarquin's hand moved in a flash, and a chunk of flesh was carved straight out of Rizzo's thigh. The intense pain made him pass out on the spot.

Tarquin didn't even spare him a glance. He tossed the knife aside and wiped his hands with chilling indifference, showing not a shred of pity or fear.

Having hovered on the brink of death since childhood, he had seen scenes far bloodier than this countless times!

Rizzo had dared to lay a hand on Axel; he deserved worse than death!

The only reason he kept him alive was for future use.

Tarquin drove a bit further before roughly waking Rizzo. "Time to get out."

Rizzo's eyes flew open, immediately zeroing in on his blood-soaked thigh. He gasped for air, cold sweat pouring down his forehead.

Up ahead, armed guards from the Bauer family were blocking the road. Tarquin glanced at Rizzo.

"Do you know what to say?"

Terrified and in agony, Rizzo nodded frantically. "I know, I know!"

A few of the Bauer men approached with their rifles raised. Tarquin hit the brakes, rolled down the window, and raised his hands in a gesture of surrender.

The guards demanded in the local dialect, "What are you doing here?"
