Diane didn't think much of it. She turned into the kitchen, heated up the food, and kept him company while he ate a little bit before getting up to wash the dishes.

A moment later, Diane suddenly called out to him. "Sweetheart, come here for a second."

Jae-hyun had just finished eating. Hearing her voice, he stood up and walked toward the bedroom.

Inside, Diane was lying on her side on his bed, wearing nothing but his white dress shirt.

The hem of the shirt barely covered her thighs, leaving her long, slender, bare legs fully exposed.

The top two buttons were undone, revealing her collarbones and hinting at the deep plunge beneath.

It was immediately obvious that she wasn't wearing anything underneath.

Diane looked at him with a flushed, shy expression. Her intentions couldn't have been clearer.

A flash of displeasure crossed Jae-hyun's eyes. Without saying a word, he turned to leave.

Stunned, Diane quickly scrambled out of bed and chased after him, throwing her arms around him from behind.

"W-what's wrong? Do you not like it?"

Jae-hyun forced himself to sound patient.

"No, I just don't think this is the right time. I genuinely want to marry you, and I want to wait until our wedding night."

"I genuinely want to be with you, too," Diane pleaded softly. "That's why I wanted to give myself to you as a New Year's present. I... this is my first time."

Jae-hyun opened his mouth to speak, but Diane's hand was already sliding down his abs, heading straight for his belt.

Reacting instantly, Jae-hyun seized her wrist, forcefully stopping her.

"Diane, don't do this! Go get dressed. I'll wait for you in the living room."

He pulled her hand away, strode out of the bedroom, and firmly shut the door behind him.

Diane stared at the closed door, her eyes welling with hurt and humiliation.

She might have been young, but she wasn't a naive child. She absolutely did not believe his excuse about 'waiting for marriage'!

What kind of man could resist when the woman he loved threw herself at him like this?

Unless he didn't actually like her at all!
