I Walked Away And He Lost His Mind (Zephyra and Steven) novel Chapter 731

I sat back on the edge of the bed, a defiant smile playing on my lips.

“Listen, I'm giving you three seconds to think it over. If you don't agree, I'm walking out of here myself!”

I couldn't stand being in the hospital for another second. The constant smell of disinfectant was making me sick.

Steven set down the glass of water, leaning against a cabinet as he watched me. “You can be discharged, but you're not going to Uncle Julian's. You're coming home with me!”

“Us?”

I scoffed. “Steven, did you get amnesia too? We're divorced. To be precise, I'm your ex-wife, and that's *your* house!”

“*Your* house.” I wasn't just reminding him we were divorced; I was also reminding him what a cheapskate he was. He hadn't given me a single penny in the divorce, let alone a house.

Steven seemed unfazed. He pulled a chair over and sat directly in front of me, his expression turning serious.

“If we remarry, none of that will be an issue. The villa, the Lancaster Group, even everything I own—half of it can be yours!”

I hesitated for a moment, my mind racing. The villas under Steven's name were worth tens of millions, not to mention the entire Lancaster Group…

The offer was certainly tempting, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to sway my desire to remain a single, independent woman.

“Impossible!” I refused flatly. “Steven, give up on that idea. There is absolutely no way I'm remarrying you.”

In my past lives, I had no memories, so I jumped into that pit of fire. But I won't make the same mistake in this life.

_A shadow instantly fell over Steven's eyes, his face darkening ominously. “We can discuss getting remarried later, but for now, you are not to leave my sight. As for going to your Uncle Julian's place, don't even think about it!”

Then, once the baby was born, I could take the child and leave.

No matter what Steven said, I remained unmoved, focusing on packing my things.

Just as I was nearly finished packing, a familiar voice called from outside the door: “Zephyra.”

I quickly turned to see Mr. Lancaster Sr. standing in the doorway with a kind expression, Gordon right behind him.

“Grandpa!” I was both surprised and delighted, immediately dropping what I was holding to greet him.

This was the first time we had seen each other since his accident.

“Zephyra, how are you feeling? I heard you had a fall. It nearly gave me a heart attack.”
