Jude Donovan’s mind was currently consumed by one obsession: completing Mission Two.
In the last Parasite Apocalypse instance, his lack of strength had made him too afraid to fight the parasitic monsters, causing him to miss out on Mission Two’s reward: the Body Transformation Pills.
He later heard from a surviving friend that the miraculous pills could grant the user a special constitution, which made him so jealous he couldn’t sleep at night.
So, he couldn’t let this chance slip by.
With a CLACK, Jude Donovan lowered his binoculars, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
He had just clearly seen the woman’s figure weaving through the swarm of spiders.
That level of agility, far surpassing that of a normal person, was definitive proof that she had taken the Body Transformation Pills!
’This person is strong, much stronger than those useless fools who were following me before...’ Jude Donovan muttered to himself, his fingers unconsciously tapping against the binoculars.
’Her Talent is incredible, and her combat ability is strong. If I could team up with her...’ Jude Donovan’s thoughts had already drifted to the scene of receiving his reward after completing the mission, and the corners of his mouth turned up unconsciously.
Thinking of the few Players who had followed him before, Jude Donovan gave a regretful smile.
’Weakness is the original sin. You can’t blame me. It’s just survival of the fittest in this world.’
Jude Donovan continued to observe.
When he saw Seraphina Sullivan’s sharp gaze lock onto his position, Jude Donovan knew he had been discovered.
Not only did he not hide, but he also stood up and headed downstairs.
He soon arrived in Seraphina Sullivan’s vicinity.
Seraphina Sullivan was also wary of Jude Donovan’s sudden appearance.
Her Eye of Resume had already activated.
[Name: Jude Donovan]
[Level: Level 1]
[Gender: Male]
[Professional Skills: Talent: Metalization (Allows the body to become metal)]
[Weaknesses: Eyes]
Seraphina Sullivan’s gaze swept over Jude Donovan, and the Eye of Resume displayed his information.
This undoubtedly confirmed his status as a Player.
But what was more concerning was that just a few hours ago, she had clearly seen several other Players with Jude Donovan, yet now he was all alone.
Jude Donovan plastered an enthusiastic smile on his face and took a few steps closer to Seraphina Sullivan. "Friend, fighting all by yourself is too tough. Why don’t we team up?"
He pointed to the giant spider Seraphina Sullivan had just killed. "The two of us together can clear out these bugs much faster."
Seraphina Sullivan took a subtle half-step back, maintaining a safe distance from him.
Her mind raced: ’My original plan was to hunt the spiders slowly while searching for the Power Apple Tree.’
’If I team up with this stranger, I might complete Mission Two faster, but it would also expose my true objective.’
’Besides, something as good as the Power Apple Tree is bound to attract the greed of others.’
’So...’
"No, thank you." She rejected him outright. "I can handle it on my own."
Jude Donovan’s smile froze on his face. A sinister glint flashed in his eyes, but he quickly returned to his enthusiastic facade. "Don’t be such a stranger! How long will it take you to kill them all by yourself?"
Seraphina Sullivan remained vigilant. This man was too friendly—abnormally so.
Besides, she clearly remembered that when they were first transported into the instance, at least four or five Players had left with Jude Donovan.
’Where did they go?’
’Why is he the only one left?’
Just as Seraphina Sullivan was pondering this, the ground suddenly began to shake violently, as if some behemoth was approaching.
From the direction of the garden’s center, a suffocating pressure washed over them like a tide, and the surrounding air seemed to thicken.
Seraphina Sullivan and Jude Donovan turned their heads at the same time, their pupils constricting.

Although the profile looked simple, the overwhelming sense of pressure it radiated made the hair on Seraphina Sullivan’s arms stand on end.
