Noah felt it!
A heavy and glorious weight coalescing inside of him. The Absolute Everything took shape within his foundations, pure Civilizational Authority compressed into a form!
This was from just stepping into The Interstices.
From one wave of his hand. From cleaning up a single stretch of pathway that no one had bothered to maintain!
If he continued traveling to other areas of this place...
If he explored the full extent of these forgotten routes...
How many Absolute Everythings could he accumulate?
How much pure authority was waiting to be claimed in spaces that even most Absolutes didn’t know existed?
Noah looked at this space between definitions that he was in, his mind racing with possibilities. He wanted to explore. Wanted to travel every pathway. Wanted to cleanse every Corrupted Growth and claim every scrap of authority that had been accumulating here across eons.
He looked toward THE Mnemonic Leviathan, who had appeared beside him on the Primordial Gray pillar. Her reduced form floated serenely, those ancient eyes taking in the cleansed pathway with something that might have been mild interest.
"What if I want to spend a bit more time in this place and not cross it within an instant?"
If The Interstices compressed distance so dramatically, if a billion gigaparsecs became seconds, then how did one slow down? How did one linger in a place that was designed to be passed through?
Pebanista Yacuruna turned her ethereal gaze toward him.
"You can do so in your own time."
Her voice held the patience of ages.
"The Interstices are pathways where one moves by definition. We are defined here at this moment. You need a legible method through your Civilization to define us before your Primordial Realm."
She paused.
"And when we step out, we will be there."
...!
The nature of this unique entity remained the same even now.
She knew and explained everything. Yet she did nothing.
Noah didn’t want to push her too much. She had already agreed to slumber beneath THE Infiniverse, had already shared knowledge of The Interstices that even most Absolutes didn’t possess.
So at this moment, he simply created a sentence.
A Philology.
He put together Phonemes of The First Tongue, linguistic building blocks arranged into meaning that he imposed around them both. The words weren’t spoken aloud. They were simply declared, authority made manifest through the foundational language of reality itself.
A declaration!
|We are outside of my Infiniverse.|
HUUM!
It didn’t look like anything had changed when he said this.
The Primordial Gray pillars remained. The darkness between them remained. The pathway stretched out in both directions as if nothing had occurred.
But Pebanista Yacuruna spoke out at this moment.
"Entering this place is nearly impossible for many. But leaving it, or at least this region, is fairly easy. You simply make the intent or the definition that you are taking a step to leave."
...!
Noah nodded.
He understood.
The Interstices moved by definition. You defined where you were, and then you stepped out of being defined in one location and into being defined in another. The pathways themselves were just the space between those definitions.
He had defined them as being outside THE Infiniverse.
Now he just had to take a step.
Noah moved forward.
"This will do."
