Far from THE Infiniverse.
In THE Interstices.
Noahโs body in this place sat upon a throne of Absolute Seals before a desk that he had manifested through the same authority. The table was currently filled with Inscriptions, golden pages covered in sentences of THE First Tongue that burned with Embodiments and Apophasis waiting to be deployed. His campaign of writing had produced dozens of Inscriptiones Dormientes, each one a weapon or defense ready to be awakened at his command.
But at this moment, he had stopped writing Inscriptions.
His focus was on a unique change that was opening up due to the continued influx of endless Infinite potential that flooded into his existence with every passing nanosecond. The harvest from the process that THE Living Paradox had initiated, the process that Noah had jumped aboard through THE Infiniverse, continued to provide its terrifying Infinite potential toward his foundation and existence.
Many things within Noah were changing rapidly.
Apart from his foundation, one of the singular most important changes occurring was to his Civilization. Truly, to his weavings of THE First Tongue. His Absolute Seals. What he could do with THE First Tongue was transforming with every passing nanosecond as the influx of Infinite potential surged into this aspect of his existence.
And he was finding himself pondering many questions.
There were Phonemes, the letters of THE First Tongue. There were Logos, the words formed from those letters. And there were Philologies, the sentences constructed from those words, which could all correlate with the Principles of Existence.
Having altered THE First Tongue by adding his own Phonemes to the original 18, Noah had effectively expanded his vocabulary. He had opened up the pathway to Archai of Existence, his own variations of sentences in the language of existence that was THE First Tongue. So his weavings of THE Principles of THE Cheating Architect had become THE Arche of THE Cheating Architect. The same had occurred for Perpetual Harvest, for Undifferentiated Mana, for all the Principles he had mastered.
They were unique and elevated and allowed for much greater expressions of the alteration of existence through them. The continued harvest and Infinite potential he was gaining was amplified by his Archai.
But still, these were just sentences.
At this moment, as a Native Speaker, as someone with THE Civilizational Instinctus, he felt like he could do so much more with THE First Tongue now that it was flooded with his Infinities. That sensation of something missing, something that he could now grasp if only he understood what it was, became more pressing and grander as more and more Infinite potential filled him.
To the point that he found himself asking a question that echoed through THE Interstices.
"What is language?"
Yes. What was language?
Noah spoke to himself as Phonemes swirled around his form in galaxies of linguistic authority.
"Language...serves to mediate between the individual and the objective existence. It reflects the development of reason and consciousness. Language acts as a bridge between mind and existence, transforming raw experience into conceptual knowledge that can be communicated and shared..."
He thought a great deal about THE First Tongue and how it stood as the expression and language of existence itself.
In his home world, there had been many philosophers who babbled on a great deal regarding what language really meant. He had never paid much attention to them before. Philosophy had seemed like the domain of those with too much time and too little practical concern.
But now, sitting upon a throne of Absolute Seals while Infinite potential flooded his existence, those philosophical musings seemed suddenly relevant.
"Some would say that language imposes false divisions on the world."
He mused aloud.
"When we say โthe lightning flashedโ, we suggest there is a thing called โlightningโ that is separate from the action of โflashingโ. But in reality, there is only the flashing. The process. The event. Language...can create a separation that does not truly exist."
His eyes grew distant.
"When we use the word โIโ as a separate subject, language reinforces the illusion that we are isolated observers rather than inseparable parts of the greater existential process. We... believe ourselves distinct from existence when we are merely existence observing itself."
HUUM!
He shook his head slowly.
"And many of the most important things in existence cannot be fully captured in words at all. The feeling of Infinity. The weight of Absolute authority. The sensation of foundations growing stronger. These things can be pointed toward with language but never fully contained by it."
"What of... numbers?"
HUUM!
