BOOM!
The cheek of her Absolute Effigy distorted from the backhand slap, the pink flames that comprised her manifestation compressing and warping under force that exceeded anything she had prepared to receive.
The shape of her face bent inward where Noah’s golden hand made contact, her features twisting with impact!
And because her Absolute Effigy was connected to her physical body, her actual cheek deformed as well.
Her flesh compressed. Her bones cracked. Her existence registered damage that couldn’t be hidden behind manifestation.
Then she flew.
Her body flung backward like a spinning ragdoll, rotating end over end as the force of Noah’s backhand launched her away from where she had been standing. She spun through the air of Alfheimr with speed that exceeded what her Absolute classification should have permitted, her pink Effigy flickering and wavering as it struggled to maintain coherence.
The force of her being thrown was so much that she flew upward rather than backward.
She ascended toward the peak of the mountain, toward the temple where THE Creature used to reside, her spinning form leaving trails of pink light in her wake. And then she smashed into that ancient structure with impact that made the entire mountain tremble!
BOOM!
Stone shattered. Walls collapsed. The temple that had housed one of the most powerful beings in Observable Existence crumbled around the form of THE Living Emotive as she crashed through it without slowing.
When the dust settled, she lay in the ruins with expression that had lost all its previous confidence.
Her state was shocked and haggard.
Her pink Effigy flickered weakly around her battered form, the manic energy that had defined it now stuttering and uncertain. Her physical body was worse. Her cheek was swollen and purple where Noah’s slap had connected. Her lip was split. Blood ran from her mouth in streams that spoke of damage exceeding surface injury.
She opened her mouth to speak, perhaps to protest, perhaps to plead, perhaps to attempt manipulation one more time.
And all her teeth fell out.
They tumbled from her bleeding gums like offerings being rejected, like prayers being denied, like the symbols of her confidence being stripped away one by one. Her mouth was bloody and empty, her jaw aching with pain that her Absolute regeneration would eventually heal but that currently defined her existence.
She could barely rise up.
But she managed to turn her bloodshot eyes toward Noah, toward the massive golden Effigy that still loomed in the skies of Alfheimr with expression of absolute coldness. She was about to say something, about to attempt words through her ruined mouth, about to try one more manipulation despite everything that had just occurred.
Then she saw his extremely cold and domineering gaze.
She saw the complete lack of mercy in those golden eyes.
She saw what would happen if she pushed further.
