Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse novel Chapter 4990

Chapter 4990: The Gap

Noah stood before THE Primordial Armor with his oath hanging in the corrupted air between them.

Twenty-four hundred Absolutes waited behind him. Countable Infinity burned in his foundations. The Tetras Apeiron Primus, Secundus, and Tertius and others held formation with readiness that defied the impossible odds they faced. Skoll stood at his side. Protos blazed with crimson blue-gold light.

And Beowulf looked at all of it with amusement that made the accumulated power seem trivial.

"This is actually laughable."

The words emerged from the armored titan with casual dismissal that pressed against Noah’s consciousness like weight settling upon shoulders that were already carrying too much. The platinum plates shifted in patterns that communicated something between contempt and genuine entertainment.

"You know what? I will not actually do anything for now."

The massive form settled back, armor reconfiguring in ways that suggested relaxation.

"I just want you to see the gap and appreciate it."

The hammer that had been gripped in armored hands rose on its own, floating above Beowulf’s helm with the casual defiance of gravity. The condensed metallic proto-matter churned within its head, eager for targets it would not immediately receive.

"Come on, big guy with Infinity."

THE Primordial Armor reached behind itself with one massive gauntlet and pinched the suspended figure of Alexander Asmodeus, repositioning the broken Peacemaker to float behind its form like a trophy being displayed. Alexander’s segmented eyes flickered with awareness of what was happening, but his shattered existence could do nothing to resist the casual manipulation.

Beowulf looked toward Noah with visor that communicated invitation through arrangement of platinum plates.

"Attack me. Give it all you’ve got."

The armored titan actually leaned back.

And then it sat down.

THE Primordial Armor, a being at THE Second Scale of Existence, settled onto the corrupted ground of THE Wastes with posture that spoke of supreme confidence. It sat there like someone preparing to watch entertainment, like a being so assured of its superiority that offering its enemy free attacks seemed like reasonable hospitality.

"Come on."

...!

Noah looked at the seated Primordial Architect with thoughts that churned behind eyes burning with Infinite light.

He had known the gap would be large. He had understood, intellectually, that THE Second Scale operated on levels that THE First Scale could not meaningfully contest. He had seen the mathematics of what he was walking toward and had chosen to walk anyway.

But knowing something and witnessing it were different experiences entirely.

That did not stop him from being here.

What he was counting on was himself. What he was counting on was Infinity to potentially change the tides of impossibility, to produce outcomes that finite analysis declared unachievable. Infinity had properties that transcended normal calculation. Infinity permitted things that bounded authorities could not accomplish.

Whether those properties would be sufficient against THE Second Scale remained to be seen.

The easy thing to do here would have been to abandon THE Peacemaker. Alexander could be considered an ally, certainly, but they were not entirely close. They had history from the same Wheel of Existence, shared origins that connected them. But Alexander had walked away from Noah’s protection. Alexander had chosen his own path. Alexander’s current suffering was the consequence of choices that Noah had not made for him.

The easy thing would have been to calculate the odds, recognize the impossibility, and retreat to fight battles that could actually be won.

But easy was not the same as right.

It was not in Noah’s nature to abandon someone who had endured millions of years of torture rather than give him up. It was not in his nature to calculate loyalty. It was not in his nature to be the kind of person who walked away from those who stood for him simply because standing for them in return had become dangerous.

So now he was here.

And he had to deal with it.

Since the enemy wanted to give him a chance, since Beowulf seemed interested in demonstration rather than immediate destruction, Noah would see just how vast the gap truly was. He would test his Infinity against THE Second Scale and discover what properties might or might not translate across that qualitative divide.

He raised his hand.

Blue-gold light gathered around his fingers with Infinite progression that extended sequentially toward the seated Primordial Architect. The light curved along geodesic paths that found the natural geometry of existence, following routes of minimal distance toward the target that waited with casual invitation.

Noah spoke words that pressed against reality itself.

"I negate your capacity to harm that which I protect. Your weavings will not remain intact before infinity."

The Geodesic Negation launched forward with Infinity burning in its structure.

It extended endlessly along the shortest path between Noah and Beowulf, Countable expressions arriving one after another in sequences that would never terminate. The negation carried Undifferentiation that would prevent reformation, that would deny the target’s ability to damage anything Noah designated as protected.

The negation reached Beowulf.

It touched the platinum armor.

And...

It passed through the seated form.

And nothing. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

Nothing!

And THE Primordial Armor simply gazed at Noah calmly as if nothing had happened at all.

Beowulf did not defend. Beowulf did not deflect or absorb or counter the Geodesic Negation. Beowulf simply remained where it was, seated on the corrupted ground, watching Noah with visor that communicated patient amusement through arrangement of platinum plates.

The negation had not affected it.

The negation had not even registered as something requiring response.

Noah’s expression flickered.

He commanded his Maws to attack.

Instantly, hundreds of the predatory Absolutes bloomed from the dots of Infinite Absolute Seals scattered throughout the corrupted proto-matter. They emerged from positions surrounding the seated Primordial Architect, their massive forms materializing with speed that left no time for conventional response. Their tentacles writhed with barely contained hunger. Their serrated maws opened to release Embodiments filled with definitions of Infinity.

Chapter 4990: The Gap 1

The gap was qualitative in ways that made engagement meaningless. THE Second Scale did not interact with THE First Scale unless it chose to. His attacks were not being blocked or deflected. They were simply failing to connect with something that existed on levels his authority could not access.

Chapter 4990: The Gap 2

"This is the simplest representation of where I stand and where you stand, O Infinity-bearer."

"You and your things will not even be able to touch me. Every strike you throw, every Embodiment you release, every Apophasis you speak, all of it will pass through my existence like wind passing through open domains."

"Hah. If I do not want it, you will not even be able to perceive me."
