Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse novel Chapter 5097

Chapter 5097: Destruction and Rebirth! II

THE Infinite Light lashed downward with speed of glory!

Blue gold flames descended from gigaparsecs of burning sky, all that gathered brilliance condensing into singular intent that had only one destination. The light moved like a predator that had finally found prey worth consuming!

Grimvault raised his Axiom greatsword in defensive posture, THE Octogenary Echo blazing with authority that had shattered countless entities across eons of violence. But THE Infinite Light didn’t care about weapons. It didn’t care about classifications. It cared only about whether its target possessed the fire of painful emergence.

And Grimvault didn’t possess that fire.

The Pulse struck him.

"AAARRGH!"

The roar that emerged from beneath that wolf skull helm was unlike anything Noah had heard from the Calymmian entity.

This was the sound of someone experiencing something they’d never experienced before and finding it utterly unbearable!

Grimvault’s massive figure began to fluctuate.

His form, which had seemed so permanent in its armored immensity, started shifting through configurations that shouldn’t have been possible for a being at his classification. He appeared smaller for an instant, his armor hanging loose on a frame that had diminished. Then larger, proportions distorting as if his existence couldn’t remember what size it was supposed to be. Then smallest, a flickering glimpse of something that might have been youth if youth was a concept that applied to Primordial Architects.

He was undergoing changes from adulthood to infancy.

THE Infinite Light’s regression was taking hold, unraveling his causality backward through stages of development that his existence had traversed across eons. His Proterozoic Bones flickered with instability as the Pulse demanded they return to states before they’d been transformed. His four Proterozoic Organs pulsed erratically as the authority of THE Infinite Cause pressed them toward origins they’d long since surpassed.

But Grimvault was still a terrifying being at Calymmian.

His ninety-four percent Proterozoic Bone saturation provided resistance that lesser entities couldn’t have mustered. His four Proterozoic Organs generated force that pushed back against the regression even as it tried to claim him. And beneath all of that, his Civilization spoke words that weren’t words, sounds that predated sound, authority that fought against unbirth with everything it possessed.

His hand rose despite the fluctuations wracking his form.

Palm outward. Fingers spreading. The curling motion. The pulling. The rotation. The snap. The fist. The opening.

"Silurian Ember, First of Flames!"

His voice emerged fractured, shifting between deep and high as his existence flickered between states.

"I grasp the Thread! I burn the Thread!"

THE Silurian Light blazed outward from his spreading fingers, meeting THE Infinite Light in collision that warped reality itself around their intersection.

"What was shall be unwritten, what stood shall stand no more!"

Blue gold flames met magma-like brilliance in configurations that existence wasn’t designed to accommodate.

"THE SILURIAN LIGHT!"

BOOM!

The two Pulses clashed.

THE Infinite Light sought to regress. THE Silurian Light sought to erase. Both drew power from Causes that had birthed or would birth Observable Existences, and neither could claim absolute superiority over the other. The sky burned with colors that had no names as Pulse fought Pulse in displays that painted the destroyed battlefield in hues of glorious warfare.

But Grimvault knew he couldn’t sustain this.

His form still fluctuated despite THE Silurian Light’s counter. His existence still felt the pull of regression that THE Infinite Light demanded. He was buying time, not achieving victory. And time was running out as his Proterozoic reserves depleted faster than they could regenerate!

He made a decision.

His Axiom greatsword, THE Octogenary Echo, reversed in his grip. The blade that had been pointed outward turned inward, that light-drinking metal now aimed at his own armored chest. Without hesitation, without the careful consideration that beings at his classification usually employed, he drove the weapon into himself.

The Axiom pierced through blackened silver armor that had fused with his flesh.

It sank into his chest cavity. But he wasn’t trying to destroy himself. He was anchoring himself, using the multiplicative force of THE Octogenary Echo to replicate his current state eighty-one times in a single nanosecond, creating so many overlapping instances of his present existence that regression couldn’t find purchase! 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

Oh!

His form stabilized.

The fluctuations ceased. The shifting between sizes stopped. Grimvault stood anchored in his current state, Axiom buried in his own chest, THE Silurian Light still streaming from his other hand to counter THE Infinite Light that continued pressing against his existence.

But his eyes.

Those pale fires burning in his wolf skull helm’s empty sockets stared at Noah with fury and shock and something else.

Something that Calymmian entities weren’t supposed to feel when facing beings at THE First Scale.

Fear!

Because he knew now.

Whatever power Noah had utilized, which should somehow be a Pulse despite him having no right to possess one, could actually unravel him. Actually unravel him, regress his causality until his existence returned to states that preceded his current form, until his Civilization dissolved back into potential that had never been actualized.

Him!

A Calymmian Proterozoic Scale entity!

The realization pressed against his awareness with horror that made his Axiom-anchored form tremble despite its enforced stability!

Grimvault howled with rage that didn’t quite conceal the terror beneath it.

"This is not the last of it, you blue tinged Gamaidjan fucker!"

His voice boomed across the destroyed battlefield as he wrenched his Axiom from his own chest, blood the color of pale starlight leaking from the wound he’d inflicted upon himself.

"This is not done, Osmont!"

His free hand rose, fingers moving through gestures that had nothing to do with Pulses, words emerging in gibberish that wasn’t actually gibberish at all.

"IT IS NOT!"

BOOM!

Existence cracked.

The fabric of reality splintered before Grimvault’s speaking, fractures spreading outward from his position in configurations that resembled shattered glass. Through those cracks, something else became visible.

THE Interstices.

The corridors through existence that allowed travel beyond what normal motion could achieve!

Grimvault had torn one open right there on the battlefield, and he used it.

The Calymmian Tier Primordial Architect who had arrived with such confidence, who had issued commands expecting obedience, who had unleashed THE Silurian Light with certainty, threw himself through the crack in existence without looking back.

Chapter 5097: Destruction and Rebirth! II 1

It was unfortunate, certainly. The loot of a Calymmian Tier Primordial Architect would have been extraordinary. Ninety-four percent Proterozoic Bone saturation. Four Proterozoic Organs. THE Octogenary Echo.
