His confidence rose the more he understood what it meant to carry an Egoic Intent. To be a True Lifeform. To be, completely and only, himself!
So Noah closed his eyes, and felt the thing that had been coming for a long time finally arrive.
|The fusion of your Osmontian Absolute Infinity and your Osmontian Primordial Source is making way for the emergence of THE Osmontian Source Infinity.|
HUUUM!
His Intent. His own!
THE Osmontian Source Infinity, the two great authorities he had each branded with his name folding together at last under the single truth that held them both, the seam that could not dissolve dissolving inside him because his identity sat at the forefront and his identity did not recognize the law that kept them apart!
"Ah," he breathed.
Endless blue light covered his body, and as it covered him, he understood. He understood all of it at once, the shape of the road ahead of him resolving in a single clear moment.
"My Second Scale of Existence will not begin with Transcendent," he said, for himself alone.
"That was never going to be it. My Second Scale of Existence will start with this. With Osmontian Source Infinity. It will start with an Egoic Intent already in hand. The requirement was that Infinity and THE Primordial Source be fused, the thing ancient beings chased their whole existences as a final outcome, the prize at the end of years of effort."
WAA!
He felt the certainty settle into him.
"But for me, it isn’t the end of anything. It’s the first benchmark. The opening step of my Second Infinite Scale. THE Source Scale."
HUUM!
First had been THE Genesis Scale.
He wanted to call the second THE Source Scale, because this one dealt with identity and origins at its forefront, with the foundational truth of where a thing came from and what it fundamentally was, and that was the territory the whole Scale would be built across.
As the Scale emerged, Noah’s existence buzzed with an unfathomable clarity, every part of him sharpening into focus, and he looked at the manifestation of THE Sealed One bound in his blue chains. And the thing, as though it could sense what was happening to him, what was happening to its own prospects, let its expression go heavy.
Noah spoke to it, grand and unhurried.
"You’ll only ever be as grand as I deem you to be," he said.
"That’s the truth of your situation now, so I’d sit with it. You were grand once, in some bygone era, sitting on your mountain of betters, asking your question that nobody would answer. I watched it. It was impressive, in its way."
His voice cooled.
"But you are not grand anymore. Not in here. You won’t be speaking up whenever you please. You won’t be a problem I have to manage. You don’t get to set the stage for what happens next, because what happens next is mine to set, and from this moment on, you will be refined and eaten by me, all of you, every part. Because you are inside my body. And my Intent and my Scales deem absolute control over anything bathed in my Osmontian Source Infinity."
BOOM!
The fusion of the obsidian Osmontian Primordial Source and the multicolored Osmontian Absolute Infinity resolved, in the end, into a single color.

"If you do this," it said, "it will be all-out war. Not the polite kind. I will find your family. I will find your Ruination, and that other one. You saw what I can do. You watched me do it to True Lifeforms, beings who would make your loved ones look like nothing at all. So think carefully. What are they, compared to what I crushed on that mountain without standing up?"
BOOM!
"THE Riven."
BOOM!
THE Riven.
