The current released him into open sky, and THE Elvarna Mining Expanse spread out below.
It stretched out too far to take in with a single look. Blue and crimson rock jutted up everywhere, threaded through with veins of glowing ore. Massive mountains twisted and curled against each other in shapes nothing natural would have made. Rivers of pure Infinity churned between them, blue and dense, the air above shimmering with the strain of holding that much potential in one place.
The whole area was burning.
War had already broken out across it. Obsidian seas rolled through torn gaps in the sky, and Source Lifeforms poured down through the wounds, their auras ringing at the Mesozoic Scale, titanic figures moving with the unhurried fury of beings who had just learned their kin were being farmed.
Their arrival was fresh, a nanosecond before him, the tears in the sky still bleeding. Below and around them, Followers of THE Sealed One rose to answer, and Noah read them the moment his gaze crossed them. Fifth Scale, every one, and every one carried the same rot underneath the power. Strength that had been given, not grown.
THE Sealed One’s elevated outcasts.
You have arrived at THE Elvarna Mining Expanse, deep within THE Infinite Carcosa. Thousands upon thousands of prisoners are bound across this Expanse: Infinite Lifeforms, Source Lifeforms, and Gilded Ones, chained in Crimson-Blue Chaos Chains that seal attack, speech, and departure. They have been mining ore of concentrated Existential Biomass, holding slivers of the intent of True Lifeforms, and offering it daily at the altar you can perceive to the east. The offerings descend to a single recipient.
The signature of a vessel of THE Sealed One radiates from beneath that altar. It has been feeding here for a very long time. It is aware of the emerging battle above it. It has not yet moved.
One further note. The Source Lifeforms descending through the torn sky carry the lineage-mark of THE Originals. They arrived one nanosecond before you.
His eyes were bright. He knew this was about to be a chaotic domain, but chaos was good for him.
His existence unfolded across the sky of the Expanse. His Emperor’s robes settled over his frame, and endless blue light poured off him, gathering into flames that moved like slow lava across the open air. THE Egoic Intent of THE Quintessential Osmontian rolled out of him in slow tides, seamless and total. And with it came the thing every True being in that sky had heard announced and none had yet seen.
THE True Distinction of THE True Human Emperor.
The Distinction did not shout. It did not need to. It sat on him the way a crown sits on an emperor who earned it, visible to everything qualified to look, and its weight moved across the Expanse like a change in the weather. The sky itself seemed to lean toward him. Noah hung at the center of it and looked down over everything.
The battle that had yet to begin stuttered.
Across the whole Expanse, being after being felt the arrival and turned. Fifth Scale Followers, the Wardens of this place, froze mid-blow, their power flinching from something it recognized as senior to it. The descending Originals paused in the torn sky, Mesozoic auras going still and wary.
And below, across the mountains and the ore-veined pathways, thousands of chained prisoners lifted their faces: Gilded Ones stripped of everything, Infinite Lifeforms taken from their own heartland, Source Lifeforms stolen out of their deep lands. All of them stared up at the figure in emperor’s robes wreathed in blue fire.
HUUM!
Every single entity in THE Elvarna Mining Expanse was staring at him.
