Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse novel Chapter 5503

Chapter 5503: Sisyphus! I

THE Lingering Word churned at the edges of his awareness, and Noah studied it the way a man studies a beautiful blade lying in poisoned oil.

A True authority of binding and decree. Sentences that ignored the gap between Scales entirely, endings that simply applied!

Every sentence spoken in it writes a small piece of the speaker’s own ending.

And he did not know how quickly he could be tainted.

Was it ten uses before the burrs seeded terminal threads into his Cause? A hundred? One? The Cursed Descendants themselves were the case study, and Noah had no intention of joining a study group whose members all had expiration dates. So he decided, calmly and finally, not to utilize it for now.

But there was another matter that had been quietly bothering him since the battle, and this one he could solve today.

The fusion.

When THE Quintessential Confluence had released, all his grades had settled back down a rank, and his Egoic Intent had fallen from its functional C-Rank back to its true D-Rank Ruis. And Noah had not liked it! For those brief moments of the battle, his Intent had erupted with the grandeur of Ananke, identity so dense it functioned as inevitability, and after tasting that...going without it felt like a handicap! Like a man who had stood at his full height once and was now asked to stoop.

Why stoop, when he had the wealth to stand?

"Ruination. My Intent...elevate it to C-Rank."

|Elevating. 300,000 Osmontian Biomass spent as THE Egoic Intent of THE Quintessential Osmontian rises from D-Rank, Ruis, to C-Rank, Straif. Your reserves settle at 163,000. And since you will ask next: elevation to B-Rank, Ngetal, will require 1,250,000 Osmontian Biomass.|

...!

HUUM!

The elevation flowed through him, and Noah closed his eyes to feel it properly!

His Intent rose through his existence like a tide claiming a shore it had always owned, and everything it touched changed! His Volume deepened first, the sheer breadth of what "Osmontian" contained expanding as his records and Causes and lived truths pressed outward into the new grade. His Output sharpened second, the force with which his identity expressed itself into existence gaining an edge that made the storm-winds bend subtly around the golden island! And his Trueness...his Trueness sang! The seam between what he claimed and what he was, already nonexistent, somehow grew more nonexistent, his "I am" settling into reality with a weight that made the ambient weavings of THE Krazhor-Nul shift respectfully around him.

At C-Rank Straif, unfused, his Intent already brushed Ananke grandeur. And fused, it would stand at B-Rank!

He breathed out slowly as satisfaction settled through his body, and then he turned to the matter that this elevation had really been preparing for.

"Infiniverse."

"Shall we finish actualizing THE Quintessential Pantheon of THE Infiniverse? It is a Pantheonic Dimension, and it is also you. So we can officially designate you as your own Dimension." His eyes gleamed. "Let us enact its rulings."

"I was already finalizing this, Master."

"THE Infiniverse, as a Dimension, is capable of enacting the Absolute Dimensional Ruling. I have written it as follows: only those bearing Osmontian Source Infinity, or those granted access, may enter." The threads locked into place with a sound like a vault door the size of existence closing.

"Unless we encounter something that can shatter Dimensions completely, a True or Primeval Lifeform exceeding THE Sixth Scale, THE Seventh, or whatever stands equivalent to such heights, those within me are safe. That is the ruling. It is now absolute."

"There is more," THE Infiniverse continued. "The completion of a Pantheon carries a lesser-known consequence. Civilizational Access, the access one holds to their own Way and its full utility, approaches 100% for all those who complete their Pantheons. Those upon Vakochev’s Scales will never reach 100% access unless they become True. It is the hidden ceiling of the Scales themselves."
