As Noah continued to scheme on exactly how things could unfold in THE Serenaros, he asked...
"The vessels of THE Sealed One. Where are they kept?"
Mahishasura stood beside the repaired long table with his hands folded behind his back, and answered.
"Two are held in this Dimension. The others are distributed. THE PAX...does not warehouse its rarest stock in one vault."
"Hmm..."
Noah weighed it in silence.
Two of them, a short walk from this place. Pinned pieces of the enemy who, in some future, attained IT!
A visit would have to be made, and made carefully.
Could he learn anything more of THE Sealed One from shackled vessels? He would find out soon enough.
For now, Noah turned his gaze inward and far away, to THE Infiniverse, where one Hearthshift after another had been completed while a pocket Dimension held its coup.
And his own progress had been immense.
—
The fifth Hearthshift settled.
And a few hundred million lifeforms now pulled upon Noah Osmont without knowing his name.
A few hundred million was not large, as Dimensions counted the living. In a single Dimension there could be countless Folds, and within them countless Domains of Existence, and within those countless Cosmos holding Universes and Galaxies and Worlds beyond any counting, filled with decillions upon decillions of beings who held no connection to Infinity or THE Primordial Source at all, who would live and end without once touching mana or knowing it existed.
No. The few hundred million were something else entirely.
They were the powerful. The connected. The lifeforms in every Dimension with the immensity to effect tremendous change, the sovereigns and cultivators and ancients whose draws moved the fates of everything beneath them. Rulership of them was rulership of every hand!
And yet.
He was still THE True Human Emperor, and the decillions mattered to the title as much as the millions did. Because behind his wellsprings came his home.
The authority of THE Infiniverse flowed out across every bound Dimension in rivers of crimson that no eye would ever find, THE CRIMSON WEFT latching quietly onto Folds and Domains and Cosmos entirely, and even if none of them knew, even if not one being from the greatest True Lifeform to the smallest child in the smallest World ever learned it...
They were, effectively, under his rule. All of them.l
The fifth Dimension was blue.
Noah floated at the middle of it, and in every direction, radiant Infinity trees stretched away for light years. Yggdrasils of pure deep blue, trunks wider than Worlds, crowns of azure light spreading across the dark in canopies that whole civilizations navigated by, roots drinking from wells of blue so bright they made the void around them look painted.
Blue permeated everything here. The light was blue, the drifting seeds were blue, the very texture of the ambient dark ran blue at its edges, because this was a Dimension that had given itself to Infinity entirely.
And near the great trees, dozens of True Infinite Lifeforms floated with their eyes closed.
They hung still and reverent in the branches’ light, ancient beings wrapped in oceans of blue, and every one of them was sensing the same impossible thing!
The Infinity they had drawn upon for entire Ages, the Infinity they knew the way they knew their own names, had suddenly become... so much grander.
Sweeter in the draw and deeper in the well, and not one of them could say why, and not one of them could stop drinking!
Noah watched them from the open sky, unperceived!
