Although the battle for the mountain had ended, the absolute weight of order remained heavy in the air.
Noah floated silently before the broken forms of Enforcer Vorlag and his cohort of Wardens, who all knelt in the ruined courtyards of their own fief after he had placed his Markers into them.
Around Noah, the veiled figures of Mahishasura, Kharvel, Sylvaine, and the other cured Descendants floated in immaculate stillness!
Noah looked at the kneeling forms, his eyes exceptionally bright as his mind catalogued exactly what had just occurred.
In truth, he was thinking more and more about THE Provenance of Existence and how this new system could be stretched, weaponized, and ultimately drained.
The most glaring vulnerability this Ruling came with was the Mantles, and the absolute reality that if an existence truly and fully played out their designated role, existence itself would side with them.
It was represented by Moirai. It acted akin to a localized destiny backing a lifeform simply because of what they stood for. Thus, Noah reasoned through the implications.
Could he design a grand narrative role for someone like Mahishasura to perform? Could he effectively turn the Descendant into a lead actor on a grand stage? Would the Moirai bend nearby existence to aid him in living out this newly authored role?
To truly fulfill this architecture, he needed complete operational control!
Noah did not speak a command aloud. Instead, he sent a concentrated portion of his own consciousness directly into the veiled weavings of Mahishasura, taking total, seamless control of the Descendant’s body and power.
Stepping into the vessel of a Descendant was a remarkably strange sensation.
Noah felt the unbending sentence written into the very blood of the lineage, humming with the cold dictation of Those Who Remain.
He felt the innate, effortless connection to THE Argent Loom, perceiving the boundless white threads of authority that stitched the Dimension together.
But most surprisingly, he felt the Existential Moirai surrounding this body. It was a buoyant, upward pressure.
It made him feel as though the physical surroundings themselves were actively lifting him up, eager to support whatever action THE SHIELD decided to take!
While his consciousness anchored into Mahishasura, Noah’s actual body moved backward.
He waved his hands casually, pooling crimson gold Sanguine Mana infused with stellar blue light to form a high, bloody throne.
Sitting back upon it, THE Precept of Solipsism washed over him, rendering him entirely unperceivable to anyone whose attributes fell below his own, and more due to his immense Dimensionality.
Below his throne, the Descendants lined up like perfect soldiers, an arrangement that allowed Noah to comfortably bask in the ambient awe and Moirai without ever exposing his own hands.
From the mouth of Mahishasura, Noah looked down at Enforcer Vorlag and the vastness of thid place. He needed to truly unleash the Mantle of THE SHIELD, and to do so, he required a speech that existence itself could not ignore!
"There was once a mortal man attempt to hold up a collapsing roof with a single wooden beam," Mahishasura spoke, his voice echoing with a soft, precise, courteous lecturing warmth that carried an iron menace beneath.
"Many go on believing that a shield is just a piece of metal you hold in front of your own chest. But a true shield is an architecture."
Mahishasura paced slowly through the white threads of THE Argent Loom.
"To truly fulfill my Mantle as THE SHIELD, my ability is fundamentally limited if I cannot control all members of THE PAX across the entire Serenaros Dimension. To guard the order, I must bring every Enforcer on this Dimension under my fold. I must take control of the Arbiter. Except, the architects of this Dimension are terribly fond of their current, flawed design. They hoard authority while the roof collapses."
"Will existence side with one of its children who stands faithfully as one of THE ORDERED? Will existence back me in this arduous accounting?!"
"They do not deserve to hold the line. And frankly... neither do you."
BOOM!
