Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse novel Chapter 5656

Chapter 5656: What Have You Done?

Thalia Vasiliou remained in Noah’s arms. Her striking, freckled face was flushed with the vitality of a fully stabilized Provenance Lifeform, but a sudden, heavy vulnerability clouded her expression. The microscopic, blue-gold genetic helix orbiting her irises spun slowly as she looked up at him.

"I am sorry," Thalia whispered, her voice cracking slightly in the quiet space. "I asked you to anchor me, and in doing so, I forced you to make a direct enemy of one of Those Who Remain. They will not forgive what you just took."

Noah looked down at her. He evaluated the sheer weight of her apology and found it entirely unnecessary. His expression remained an ocean of calm, tyrannical certainty.

"You did not force me to do anything," Noah said smoothly. "And nobody would have been allowed to take my Provenance. What was inside you was always going to belong to us. Let them be angry. I seem to be building a habit of offending them anyway."

Thalia stared at him. The sheer, unbothered arrogance of his claim broke right through the ancient tension weighing on her shoulders!

Small, crystalline tears spilled over her eyelashes. She did not bother wiping them away. A breathtaking smile broke across her face, carrying the profound relief of a woman who had spent her entire existence running from a predetermined cage. She reached up and embraced him tightly, burying her face into his shoulder.

Noah smiled softly. He wrapped his arms around her, his Sanguine Mana washing over them in a warm, protective current.

He allowed the silence to hold them for a long moment. He was human, and it was human to relax for a bit knowing of the coming storm. But his mind was already turning the newly acquired keys of their shared authority.

Noah pulled back just enough to look at the delicate, glowing bracelets of blue-gold helix-weavings hovering off the skin of their wrists.

"How much of this Provenance of THE Immense Sovereign can you utilize?" Noah asked.

"These Nova Provenance Elselifeforms....and everything else relating to these new possible weavings of existence."

Thalia took a slow breath.

"The lifeforms we can produce...they will be a bridge," Thalia explained, her voice regaining its melodic, resonant power. "They are not entirely Provenance Lifeforms, because their origin still requires our hands to edit and seat their foundations. And they are not entirely anything else that the Records currently hold."

She gently traced her fingers over the glowing helix on Noah’s wrist.

"To be a Nova Provenance Elselifeform is to be severed from the scales of all others but us. What you can do...I can do. I think..."

Noah looked at the floating genetic strings, thinking of Mahishasura, of Skallagrim, of the countless humans.

There was...boundless possibilities to think of!

He kept his arms wrapped protectively around Thalia Vasiliou. The golden waves of her stabilized time-loop had just settled. The microscopic blue-gold helixes orbiting their irises pulsed with the unfathomable authority of Progenitors.

For a fraction of a second, Existence belonged entirely to them.

It was...peaceful.

Then, the absolute peace within the lotus petals simply ceased to be.

HUUUM!

There was no spatial tear. There was no fluctuation of THE Argent Loom or ambient Infinity. Noah’s newly elevated Dimensionality, backed by attributes sitting heavily in the mid-forties, did not register an approach.

A woman simply materialized inches away from them, as if she had been standing there for the last epoch and had only now chosen to make herself visible.

Noah’s endlessly blue eyes snapped toward the figure, the stellar blue-gold Provenance Essence in his blood flaring dangerously before it calmed!

Because...

The woman looked like an older, terrifyingly grand version of Thalia. She possessed the same striking, deep red hair, though hers was woven with streaks of liquid gold. She was draped in immaculate, imperial white robes that seemed to carry the physical weight of entire Dimensions. Her posture was flawless, radiating a suffocating, ancient absolute.

But it was her eyes that commanded the space. They were filled with an immense, crushing disappointment as she looked down at the two of them.

Noah immediately activated THE Protagonist’s Omniscient Regard.

A heavy panel cascaded down his vision, bringing with it a profound realization of just how deep the Warrens of the Elsedimensions truly went!

Rosalia Vasiliou

VERITAS: ?????

PROVENANCE: ?????

POTENTIA: ?????

PONDUS: ?????

The entire panel was a wall of redacted ignorance!

Aside from her name, his sweeping authority could not weigh a single fraction of her existence. She was entirely unreadable, a being of such staggering age and depth that she bypassed the frameworks of his perception completely.

Rosalia Vasiliou did not even gaze at Noah. She kept her imperial eyes locked entirely on Thalia, her voice carrying a resonant, melodic sorrow.

"My child..." Rosalia whispered, the words vibrating through the very conceptual layer of the Elseworld. "What have you done?"

Thalia stiffened in Noah’s arms, the vibrant flush of her recent stabilization draining slightly from her freckled face.

"You think that generating your own standing means you owe nothing to the soil that grew you?" Rosalia continued, her tone admonishing and heavy with reprimand.

"But those with Provenance do not just think about themselves. Your lineage bled for Ages to cultivate the vessel you just broke. You acted only for yourself. You were selfish, Thalia, and in your selfishness, you have endangered every single Provenance Lifeform of our line."

Noah remained perfectly still as his eyes began to shine dangerously.

"Do you know what THE Immense Ones value above all else?" Rosalia asked, her voice dropping to a terrifying, intimate lecture. "It is not authority. It is not the Scales. It is their honor. It is their dignity! To lose a promised bride, to have a reserved harvest stolen from their grasp... that is a slight that cannot simply be pushed aside! In existence, everyone has to make sacrifices. I made mine. Your father made his. We bent so that the Vasiliou could survive the architects."

"How could you do this?"

"We are Provenance Lifeforms," Thalia stated respectfully, but her voice had a grand, vibrating frequency that pushed back against her mother’s oppressive aura.

"We decide our fate. We decide our existence! Even Those Who Remain cannot definitively stand above us unless we bow our heads and offer them our necks!"

"I am a Provenance Lifeform, mother. Are you?"

BOOM!

"A newly budding Provenance Lifeform who has attained what... the First Tier or Second Tier of the Provenance Body?" Rosalia mused coldly, her voice devoid of any actual curiosity. "Such a being beside you, or one of Those Who Remain. If you had both of them presented before you, the choice is clear."

"And I made that choice!" Thalia declared. "Between one of Those Who Remain and him... I have chosen him again and again! Across all Provenances, across time! As he would say in his own words... it is merely one of Those Who Remain. So what?!"

"What is done is done," Rosalia said flatly.
