Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse novel Chapter 5661

Chapter 5661: I Think, Therefore I Am! III

Descartes entered and left cages freely.

The sealed dimension was supposed to be completely under Noah’s lock and key. Yet, from the very cages that held the collected trophies of Mahishasura and others, he simply traversed in and out as by the time he was done...

Descartes approached Noah.

"Let us talk."

The voice was calm, holding no trace of any known authorities like Infinity or the dense Primordial Source.

Before Noah could formulate a response, the space rippled as two other figures stood on the periphery.

THE Primordial Paradox tilted his head and pointed toward Erwin.

"Continuum Master, can we listen in?"

Descartes did not turn around. He merely spoke to the empty air.

"Listen in, if you are able to. We are here, and not here."

The moment the words left his mouth, a shift occurred. To the perception of everyone else present in the dimension, Descartes and Noah vanished. They were simply subtracted from the perception of reality, entering a depth of Dimensionality that defied observation!

THE Primordial Paradox sighed with heavy frustration. Behind him, Erwin also sighed.

"Will that monstrous anomaly steal the show again? And here I thought we were making progress."

THE Primordial Paradox shook his head.

"We made tremendous progress. Just some beings in existence can be utter monsters. Come on, let us try to listen in as they should be here."

Noah looked at the two paradoxes with shining eyes. They truly could not perceive them simply from the words of Descartes.

Descartes settled his gaze on Noah.

"Do you agree with what Vakochev did? And the fact that he failed?"

BOOM!

The question carried the conceptual weight of a collapsing Dimension. Noah remained outwardly still, but astonishment cascaded through him. He analyzed this impossible entity. How did this being know about the failure of Vakochev? Was he also among those that the final message reached? Did he hold an obsidian crystal of his own?

Noah met the gaze of the strange man.

"It is only human to fail, and one can only try again."

He did not offer a defense of Vakochev, nor did he condemn him. He simply stated the bare reality of ambition. Then, Noah asked the only question that mattered.

"Who are you, really?"

"I am just a thinking thing."

The philosophical reply hung in the air, dense with an unreadable depth.

"Could I ask you a few questions, Young Friend?"

"If you completely strip away your name, your home, your family expectations, and your social status, what remains of the you that you are trying to be true to?"

"A... tyrannical desire to thrive. What remains is the sheer, unadulterated will to impose its own order on a chaotic void. What remains is a hunger that refuses to let anyone else hold the pen that writes my story."

"How do you know that your passions, cravings, and deepest desires are actually your own, rather than mere mechanical reflexes and chemical tricks of your physical body?"

"Because I am the one who pays the price for them. If my body tricks me into a desire, I devour the trick. I take ownership of the reflex. A craving is only a trick if you are a slave to it. If you weaponize it to climb to the peak of existence, it becomes a tool. And tools belong to the hand that wields them."

"A heavy claim," Descartes mused. "But consider this. If an invisible force or internal psychological bias is actively deceiving you into believing a beautiful lie about your character, how do you verify that your self-image is not a complete illusion? What objective proof do you have that your authentic self is a reality and not a comforting ego defense mechanism?"

"There is no objective proof. Existence is terribly fond of novelty, and it will offer you a thousand mirrors to show you a thousand different lies. My proof is not found in a mirror. My proof is found in consequence. If my authentic self is an illusion, I will enforce that illusion upon reality until existence itself has no choice but to accept it as the ultimate truth. The proof...is the reality I leave behind."
