<THE Infiniverse>
Beyond the observable horizons of ordinary reality, deep within the private heart of an empire that existed outside the sight of many things, a sea of endless blue-gold light stretched across infinite leagues.
It was an ocean of pure dream-weather and sovereign potential, moving without waves or tides, reflecting a sky filled with trillions of turning constellations.
Infinite!
Standing upon the calm surface of this boundless sea were two figures in human form.
The first was THE Infiniverse. Her manifestation was breathtaking and terrifying in equal measure, her cascading hair composed of woven domains and crystalline void, her eyes holding the birth, expansion, and quiet collapse of uncounted civilizations.
She wore robes woven from overlapping dimensional lattices, her pale hands moving through the air with the absolute precision of a master architect at work.
Floating directly behind her were dozens of miniaturized Observable Existences, each one compressed to the size of a polished pearl, turning slowly in orbital rings. From these tiny wonders, thin golden threads were drawn continuously, dripping pure Distilled Cause Essence into wide, crystalline conduits that descended into the depths of the sea.
Beside those golden conduits ran eight radiant rivers of elemental matter.
Hydrogen, Helium, Lithium, Beryllium, Boron, Europium, Strontium, and Neodymium flowed in torrential ribbons of raw, purified light, looping around the pearl-like existences before merging into the grand design.
Above them both flowed a colossal cataract of blue-gold authority. It was the direct link to their Master’s Provenance.
THE Infiniverse took these streams, and with a sweeping gesture of her slender arms, she directed them across the expanse.
Across hundreds of realms spanning millions of gigaparsecs, the fabric of space and concept bowed. Entire clusters of Wheels of Existence and star systems, vast planetary sectors, and dimensional planes were being lifted away from the standard coordinates of reality.
The eight elements wrapped around their perimeters, Distilled Cause Essence sealed their seams, and the mantle of Provenance folded them deeply inward, transforming hundreds of realms into pristine, autonomous Elsedimensions.
No architect had ever walked their soil. No sentence from Those Who Remain had ever touched their skies. They were completely untainted, sterile to outside sight, and utterly unfindable!
Beside her stood Ruination.
Her manifestation was clothed in deep crimson silk, her hair burning like quiet supernovas as red-gold embers drifted from her shoulders. Her crimson eyes watched the folding of a Elsedimensions with tranquil appreciation, her arms folded beneath her chest as she leaned slightly toward her sister.
"Since Sonder awoke in him," Ruination said, "Master has become very reflective of others. He has been looking outward, thinking about giving those who walked beside him a chance through a single endless Dream."
THE Infiniverse did not cease her weaving, her fingers twisting a river of Europium around an entire realm of three thousand star systems as she listened.
"He has thought about his son," Ruination continued softly, her gaze drifting across the blue-gold sea. "He has thought about his daughter, his mother, the Queens of THE Infiniverse, and all those who helped him when his footsteps were still small. He knows they had their own grand dreams of brilliance before his shadow grew so immense that it covered their sky. He does not want them to merely survive in a golden cage. He wants to put them into an endless Provenance Dream of their own, letting them live their true dreams without the limitations of their origin."
Ruination smiled faintly, watching a miniature Observable Existence condense under her sister’s palm.
"Those who can endure the longest in their dreams, those who attain tremendous power from within their own reveries, will wake to find themselves far grander than they are today. Erikson, Titano, Ul’moreth, Eon, Kazuhiko... all of them were once the heroes of their own legends. If they do not wake from their dreams in a single day, they may step directly into THE Transfinite Verse when their eyes open. If they do not wake for weeks, an entire epoch of years will have passed within their Provenance Dream, and they might open their eyes to find themselves standing in THE INEFFABLE VERSE. Perhaps they will inherit and advance the Infinite Scales he cast out. Perhaps he will impart knowledge of sovereign engineering to their souls to see what they can build. He simply wants to give them a chance."
"I understand Sonder," THE Infiniverse replied. "I have observed how it operates in his eyes, and I recognize the mechanical elegance of allowing other narratives to mature. But I am not the biggest fan of it."
Ruination glanced sideways at her sister, an amused tilt touching her lips. "You find fault with his compassion?"
"It is not about fault," THE Infiniverse said evenly, guiding a flood of Distilled Cause Essence into the foundation of a newborn Elsedimension.
"It is about geometry. To me, Master is the singular, absolute center of existence. He is THE True Human Emperor, THE Human Dreamer, the only point of origin that matters in any continuum. When he looks at others and sees the fullness of their lives, his vision spreads outward. I do not wish for his gaze to be diluted by the small concerns of mortals who could not keep pace with his stride. I want him to look upon reality as an author looks upon a clean sheet of paper, with himself as the only hand holding the pen."
HUUM!
"Sonder makes him hesitate to crush what is weak. It makes him empathize with chickens before he drinks the soup. I would prefer him to be an absolute, unyielding tyrant who steps across existence without once asking the dirt if it minded his boots."
