Today, this alley was particularly lively.
Just in the darkness before dawn, several shadows silently appeared deep in the alley.
Even though the scene had been meticulously cleaned by the previous man, one of the shadows still crouched down, rubbing the ground with his hand, as if searching for something.
Moments later, he spoke in a deep voice: "It should be here, but a skilled person has cleaned it, so there’s no valuable clue left!"
"Can we find Third Prince and their bodies?" the leader asked in a deep voice.
At this time, the sky brightened, and through the hazy white light, the shadows in the alley slowly became visible.
This was a five-person team, all dressed in black, with heads wrapped in black scarves, faces obscured.
The one asking was the leader of the group, tall and seemingly the team captain.
"I’ll try my best!"
With that, the man in black crawled onto the ground, sniffing carefully like a dog.
Soon, he suddenly raised his head and dashed off in a particular direction.
The black-clad leader immediately led the group to follow.
Stopping and starting along the way, they soon arrived in the main street.
By now, dawn had broken, and voices could be heard on the street.
The leader pulled out several Talisman Spells from his chest and waved them at his subordinates.
In an instant, they disappeared from sight.
A simple illusion, but at this moment, exceedingly useful.
After traversing several streets, they arrived at the alley behind the theater.
The man in black raised his hand, pointing, "The scent breaks off here!"
The leader sneered, "Great, as long as we have a possible area. A small theater, can it really overturn the heavens?"
Despite saying this, he cautiously signaled to his men with a look.
The four subordinates immediately scattered, circling the theater, and planting Talisman Spells in every corner.
In no time, a barely noticeable red light engulfed the theater.
Once all preparations were completed, the five silently scaled the walls and entered the theater.
It was still early; the theater was empty, devoid of any signs of life.
The five men quickly reached the room where the actor and the man met last night.
The man with an extraordinary sense of smell nodded slightly, indicating this was the correct location.
The leader smirked lightly, extended three fingers, and began counting down.
At the moment the last finger was withdrawn, the five rushed into the room simultaneously, ready for combat.
Unexpectedly, the room was empty—not a soul, not even a ghostly shadow.
The five conducted a thorough search of the small room, yet found nothing.
"What’s going on?" The black-clad leader asked in a deep voice.
The man with the exceptional sense of smell looked puzzled, "The scent indeed breaks off here. How strange; why is there no one?"
Speaking, he sniffed carefully around the room again, finally resting his gaze on the potted sunflower on the windowsill.
The flower was extremely vibrant, illuminated by the morning sun like a ball of fire.
His eyes gleamed, "This flower is suspicious..."
"What’s suspicious?"
