Zhang Tianyou’s face turned red—a rare occurrence.
As a top scientist, he was nearly omnipotent, except in the realm of human art skills, where his talent was mediocre.
Especially in painting, despite trying every method he could think of, what he produced was still very painful to the eyes.
"Alright, just make do and know that it’s supposed to be a turtle shell. Whether it looks like one or not is totally unimportant!" Zhang Tianyou joked self-deprecatingly.
Huyue pursed his lips as he was about to speak, but at that moment, the turtle shell finally finished breaking and then automatically entered the calculation program.
A myriad of obscure and incomprehensible symbols slid across the screen.
Huyue couldn’t help but hold his breath, staring silently.
Suddenly,
The waterfall-like stream of information abruptly stopped, followed by the appearance of three bright red exclamation marks.
"What kind of omen is this?" Huyue immediately asked.
Zhang Tianyou’s expression instantly turned very grim, "It’s an ominous omen!"
"Huh? What kind of ominous omen?" Huyue’s heart skipped a beat as he hurriedly asked.
At this time, the three exclamation marks on the screen gradually disappeared, replaced by a line of annotations.
Yet, Huyue couldn’t understand those enigmatic symbols at all, and couldn’t help but ask again in panic, "What exactly is it?"
Zhang Tianyou took a deep breath, "It’s the Kan water hexagram, the twenty-ninth hexagram out of sixty-four, also known as an ominous hexagram!"
"Kan itself represents water, and this hexagram shows water both inside and out, a perilous situation of water over water!"
Huyue’s expression gradually grew heavy, but his inherently optimistic nature forced a smile, "I think this thing is just inaccurate, purely superstitious nonsense. It’s just for fun!"
Zhang Tianyou glanced at Huyue, who shrank his shoulders guiltily.
"What? Did I say something wrong?"
Zhang Tianyou was simply caught between laughter and tears, "You’re something else, if the omen is good, it’s great fortune; if the omen is bad, it’s superstitious nonsense. You’re so practical, huh?"
"Hehe! How can that be called practical? It’s called..."
Before Huyue could finish, a piercing alarm started blaring inside the cabin.
Huyue jumped in fright, "What’s going on?"
Zhang Tianyou was quicker, rushing to the command console immediately upon hearing the alarm. After a round of operations, his expression turned extremely solemn.
"My monitoring device, which I previously set up, has detected abnormal energy fluctuations, seemingly indicating something has arrived!"
"Is it an evil entity?" Huyue asked gravely.
"I can’t be sure yet, but the energy fluctuations are very eerie—it doesn’t seem like a regular presence!"
"Damn it! It actually dares to come, huh? Old Zhang, tell me the location of these abnormal fluctuations—I’m going to confront it!" Huyue said vehemently.
"It’s no use!" Zhang Tianyou shook his head, "The energy fluctuation lasted less than a second before disappearing!"
"Disappeared? Where’d it go?"
"I don’t know. This sudden intruder is clearly very cunning; it only revealed fluctuations at the beginning. Once it detected the monitoring, it concealed the fluctuation, making it difficult to pinpoint its exact location."
"So what now? Just stand guard here?" Huyue was somewhat disheartened.
"Rest assured, if this entity truly is evil, and it arrives with intent, now though hidden, it will expose its hand at the first move!"
"So we wait for it to make the first move?"
