Jared chance novel Chapter 6635

Ten cuts.

Twenty.

Fifty.

Chaotic force, after being held in check for so long, finally began to show its full penetrating power. Wounds split open across the demon hound king's body-wall, some shallow, some deep, spreading over it in clusters.

Lucky's fire was no less vicious.

Following the path opened by Jared's sword, unicorn truefire poured into the cracks in the beast's defense and burned through its meridians and blood from the inside.

One force broke the armor from outside.

The other burned it apart from within.

The demon hound king's injuries worsened in two directions at the same time.

It roared in a frenzy and forced the last of its strength into its claws, slashing straight at Jared's head.

The claws tore through the air with a shriek.

For that one attack, the beast had recovered the speed of its prime.

But Jared disappeared the instant before the strike landed.

By the time the demon hound king's spirit sense found him again, the young Golden Immortal Level One cultivator was already behind its spine.

He had appeared exactly where the neck joined the backbone.

That spot had taken repeated sword strikes and flames. The bone armor there was only half as tight as it had been at the start.

Jared reversed his grip and drove the Dragonslayer Sword into the back of the demon hound king's skull.

Chaotic force rushed through the blade.

It pierced the skull, crossed the cranial cavity, and burst out beneath the jaw.

The demon hound king's blood-red eyes opened to their limit.

Its huge body locked in place.

Then it toppled slowly and crashed onto the cavern floor, throwing up a foul rush of blood, bone dust, and broken scraps.

A Golden Immortal Level Seven demon hound king.

Dead.

The last strike had gone clean through its skull. The remaining power of chaotic force drifted through the cave for a few moments before fading away.

The beast's massive body lay motionless. The impact had kicked up fragments of bone and beads of blood, sending them pattering against the nearby stones.

Inside its head, the peak Golden Immortal Level Seven beast core still gave off the last wisps of black baleful energy.

The cavern was silent.

Harlan Ironhall clutched his bleeding arm, eyes bulging.

Byron Cloudmere still held half of his broken folding fan, his wrist frozen in place.

The wolf-fang necklace around Blackwolf's neck had been splashed with the demon hound king's blood. The man who usually hid malice behind a grin could not produce a word.

The final red glow around Emberhawk's body went out while she stared blankly ahead.

Silas Crane lay on the ground with his leg severed, lips moving several times before only a thin, wheezing noise escaped.

That young man at Golden Immortal Level One had brought a fire unicorn that still looked like a cub and killed a Golden Immortal Level Seven demon hound king.

Jared walked to the corpse. With a light flick of his sword tip, he dug out the fist-sized black beast core.

It was dark as midnight, covered in layered golden markings. Those were the core lines of a Golden Immortal Level Seven beast, and the quality was excellent.

He put it into his Storage Ring.

"Good material," he said.

Rowan and the nine cultivators stepped out from behind a stone pillar, their legs weak under them.

When Harlan had told Jared to get lost earlier, they had already braced for disaster.

Now the same young man those people had mocked as "coming in here to die" had just brought down the strongest beast in the entire den.

Rowan tried to speak several times before he finally managed to force out a sentence.
