Jared chance novel Chapter 6663

Gwendolyn's expression changed. She was about to stop him.

Jared took her hand first.

"It's fine. I am sure."

His voice was soft, but steady.

He released her and walked toward the platform.

The Demonic Cultivators parted and opened a path.

Their eyes were full of mockery and coldness.

No one believed he could draw the Demonic Bow.

No one believed he could snap it.

"This kid is dead."

"Golden Immortal Level One? He probably does not even know what sigil-bane aura is."

"Wait and see. He will get up there, fail to touch the string, and be slapped dead by the City Lord."

Jared ignored the whispers.

He walked up the platform one step at a time.

Hayden watched him approach, the ridicule on his face growing thicker.

"Have you thought this through? It is not too late to regret it."

Jared glanced at him.

He did not answer.

Instead, he took the Demonic Bow directly from Hayden's hand.

The instant the bow touched his palm, a faint light flashed deep in Jared's eyes.

This bow did have some substance.

The dark-red runes carved across it were relics of the ancient demonic path. They held dense sigil-bane aura.

An ordinary cultivator would not have been able to draw it.

Most would not even be able to grip it for long before the baleful aura invaded their meridians.

But to Jared, that meant nothing.

The sigil-bane aura inside him began to move.

It resonated with the aura inside the bow.

Like greeting an old friend after a long separation.

Natural.

Smooth.

Without resistance.

Jared held the bow in his left hand and set his right hand on the string.

He drew one breath.

Then he pulled.

Buzz.

The bowstring moved like a tamed snake.

No struggle.

No resistance.

It slid back in one clean motion until the bow formed a full moon.

The square went dead silent.

Eyes widened.

Mouths hung open.

The Demonic Cultivators who had mocked Jared froze in place, ridicule still stiff on their faces.

Hayden's face turned white.

His body trembled.

He had exhausted everything just to draw the bowstring one inch.

This Golden Immortal Level One human cultivator had pulled it to a full draw as if it weighed nothing.

The City Lord also stood up.

For the first time, shock appeared on his stern face.

His eyes locked onto the Demonic Bow in Jared's hand, and his pupils shrank sharply.

Jared looked at the fully drawn bow and smiled faintly.

"Interesting. But..."

His eyes narrowed.

Chaotic force moved through his body and flowed from his palm into the bow.

"It really is not sturdy enough."

Crack.

A crisp sound rang out.

A thin crack appeared on the bow.
