"That’s Mr. Joseph's ex-wife? Surely, you must be mistaken.”
"No, I'm a hundred percent sure about this! That’s Chloe!"
Megan had made significant progress in life over the years, having managed to bag a wealthy businessman from Docwood. She took out her phone to capture a photo of Chloe for Xavia.
In response, Chloe elegantly swept her bangs behind her ears and warned, "You're not allowed to circulate my photos without my consent. I will sue you for violating my image rights."
Chloe's words confirmed Megan's suspicions and a shiver traveled down her spine. She asked with uncertainty, "Who are you? Are you a ghost or..."
"What do you think?"
In a panic, Megan cried out for help. "Security, get her out of here!"
"Chloe is my plus-one, and you don’t have the authority to kick her out," Noah said, shielding Chloe while giving Megan a warning gaze.
Turning to those around her, Megan pleaded, "She really is Chloe. We need to chase her out of here!"
"She does look like Chloe…"
"But I thought she was dead. Did she come back to life?"
"Oh please, there's no such thing as coming back to life. She must've survived the fire, though I am curious as to how.”
"Is it possible that she simply resembles Chloe?"
"That's easy to verify. Mr. Joseph is here today, and no one would know better than him."
As they spoke, many gazes fell upon the dominating man sitting in the corner.
Joseph was dressed in a simple suit that did nothing to hide his striking appearance. Time had etched its mark on him, adding a touch of maturity to his well-defined features. Still, he remained as captivating as ever, like a masterpiece skillfully crafted by the heavens.
Hearing these words, Natalie felt a twinge of discomfort. She quickened her steps and caught up with Noah. Embarrassment and anger surged through her as she snarled, "Now that Chloe’s back, does that mean I will cease being the Exotic Star’s ambassador?"
"No, you'll retain your position," Noah replied politely, then added, "Though we might consider adding a few more ambassadors."
To be frank, Natalie was not the most suitable choice for jewelry endorsements. Noah was willing to sacrifice one ambassador position to alleviate the tension between the Sullivans and Walkers, but he had to take business interests into account as well. Relying solely on Natalie was not ideal since international audiences typically favored a different image compared to an innocent and delicate one.
Natalie looked at Chloe and pouted. "Am I that horrible? Why do all the men I like always end up liking you instead? Look at both Joe and Noah.”
Chloe pondered for a few seconds and replied sincerely, "You're not horrible. On the contrary, you're outstanding. It's just that you haven't met the right person. I'm sure you'll find an even better man in the future."
"Even better than Joe?"
Chloe subconsciously glanced at the man in the corner and smiled faintly. "Absolutely. And it will be a man that’s at least ten times better than him."
