"Cao Sicong? He is what you would call someone with a grand personality," Qiyuan commented. "Very likable and charismatic — hence why we chose him to lead the alliance and suppress Qin’s power. Despite his appearance, he’s actually extremely clever. He was supposed to be nothing but a puppet, but he successfully escaped numerous factions’ grasp by consolidating power and using the possibility of joining Qin to counterbalance our threat."
"Since he got out of control, didn’t you guys try to eliminate him?" Wang Wei asked.
"We did, but before the plan even formed, he moved the alliance to a domain right next to Qin’s territory," Qiyuan replied. "His action showed us he was willing to confront Qin’s court, but he could also join them at any time.
"He sounds like a capable person," Wang Wei muttered.
"What are you plotting?" Yan Hai asked.
Wang Wei did not immediately answer. Instead, he invited them to his Soul Network. "Do you think he would be interested in Ying Zheng’s Sage Emperor Path?" he asked.
"You want to give him your Human Emperor Position?" Qiyuan asked.
"Not give, but for a deep enough price, I can sell, no, lend it to him," Wang Wei answered. He thought about selling before remembering what Maitreya said about the Pillar Foundations.
"Of course, my objective is not to give him a chance to become a transcendent, but to see if I can lure Ying Zheng."
"He will immediately know you’re being it after noticing Cao Sicong with that title," Qiyuan said. "However, a good trap can also lure someone even if they know it’s a trap. It may be worth it for us to try."
Everyone attending this meeting was powerful, so multitasking was no issue. So, while Wang Wei was plotting against Ying Zheng and Cao Sicong, the negotiations continued.
"What is the meaning of our position?" Supreme God Shen Tian asked. Although Ying Zheng wasn’t detailed in his proposition, all of them here are aware of the changes in the lower dimension, including the operation of the Heavenly Court.
For example, individuals with the God of Space Positions will be responsible for healing spatial tears in the lower dimension. The God of Earth will deal with the aftermath of earthquakes or volcanic eruptions. Based on Ying Zheng’s words, this court should be operating the same. However, he offered the Divine Faith Heaven of Disaster Relief, which does the same thing.
Ying Zheng looked at their room, and a slight annoyance flashed in his mind. The Disaster Relief Division was not a part of his original plan. The Divine Faith Haven was supposed to control the Life Pool Division. All the soldiers and willing generals would hand over their Dao Imprint to that division. Once they die in battle, the Life Pool Division would use World Source from the Resource Management Department to instantly revive these fallen soldiers.
That division was supposed to spread to non-Immortal cultivators and even mortals. Ying Zheng planned to use them to get a glimpse of the Earth Emperor Position. Unfortunately, things went wrong from the beginning. First, Emperor Kong suggested moving the mortals, which reduced the need for many of them to die and for their souls to be rescued.
Then, there was the appearance of the Samsara Eye. Ying Zheng could ignore Kong’s move, but he could not ignore a variable as serious as the Samsara Eye. So, he created the Disaster Relief Division for the Divine Faith Haven.
Ying Zheng thought about how to respond to this question. He could be rude and ignore them since he did not need everybody to support him, just the majority. However, it would be better to gather support with the right words.
"If you didn’t say something, I was going to address you," Ying Zheng said. "Your department might be one of the most important. My thoughts were that the God Positions only alleviated some of the burden from Heavenly Dao’s shoulders. Meanwhile, your division will do all the work, which also means you’ll get most of the merit."
"Hold on – that changes everything," someone commented.
"It does," Ying Zheng nodded. "While the head of the Disaster Relief Division will belong to the Divine Faith Heaven, the members will be chosen from everybody, and only elites can enter."
"What are you talking about?"
"Haven’t you guys adapted to the situation yet?" Ying Zheng asked calmly. "This war will be at home, with so many Paragons, Primals, and even Saints fighting. Can you imagine the devastation? We need a team of the best in the Disaster Relief Division to heal the world afterward."
Ying Zheng’s words served as a reminder of the impending disaster’s threat level and the importance of the Disaster Relief Division.
"What’s the meaning of this?" Shen Tian sneered. "You said the department belonged to us, but now, you’re saying we only have one position? It sounds to me you didn’t think this through."
"I wasn’t clear enough, and for that, I apologize," Ying Zheng said calmly.
"Words have meaning, Human Emperor," Shen Tian added. "Since you said these departments belonged to us, it should stay that way."
"Do you think you can handle such a responsibility?" the Grand Sect Alliance sneered.
"You have a point," Shen Tian said, making everyone surprised by this sudden change. Then, they understood what this bastard was planning as soon as he said his next sentence.
"Such a department should be controlled by Buddhism, which has the power to deal with the power of Saints. How about this? I’m willing to offer our department in exchange for Shintoism to become the third official religion."
The room was briefly quiet before someone from the alliance erupted the situation.
"Bastard, if there is going to be a third official religion, it should be our Literary Way. When will it be the turn of a bunch of soul parasites?"
"What did you say?" Shen Tian asked.
"Did I stutter?" Sage Glassed Pen replied.
