Justice For Juniper (Tatienne Richard) novel Chapter 160

Common Ground Part II

“Oh, my goodness,” Maeve giggled.

“Seriously. All this talk of men wanting to impregnate women on the first date to tie them to them. Do you know what it boils down to, Juniper?

“No?” she shook her head, eyes glistening with tears of laughter.

“It boils down to men who know they don’t have what it takes to make a woman stay with anything other than trapping them with babies.”

“Hey, I have lots to offer!” Phineas argued. “I’m rich. I’m good looking. I’m loyal and honest.”

“You’re rude, arrogant, and prideful. If it weren’t for the money or the cock, what would you have to offer.”

“She’s got you there,” Adil was cackling with glee at Phineas.

“Are you any better?” Anna asked with a huff. “What do you bring to the table? I hear you’re the comic relief, Phineas is the muscle, and Benicio is the one to pander to her emotional needs. Yet, all this tells me is on your own, you’re not man enough for my granddaughter. Do you think she can lk 0:02 onto anv street and find any rich man who can give her anv of

“Why are we suddenly on trial?” Phineas threw his hands up defensively. “Anna, what have I ever done to you?”

“Nothing. I simply hear my son talking stupid about wanting to impregnate a woman whose last name he was too stupid to get and then your comments and I realize that intelligent men are a dying breed.”

“Maeve was agreeable.”

“Maeve was probably drunk,” Anna scoffed and then she winked at Maeve as if to tell her she was only having a bit of fun at Fermín’s expense.

“She was sober.”

“She was exhausted and hungover and probably still buzzed.”

Maeve was giggling and Juniper’s lips were twisting.

“Mama, you’re being deliberately argumentative.”

“I’m defending my daughter and granddaughter from misogyny which is misplaced at our breakfast table.”

Juniper took her juice glass and tapped Anna’s with a grin. “Maybe I’m not so opposed to having a grandmother.”

“Do you know,” Inigo spoke up, “Anna once walked into a

women.”

Phineas started laughing.

“What is so funny?”

“I really want Anna to meet Kyst after we tell her all the shit he’s done. I feel like she’d render him, and his stupid father Carl dumb.”

“I can do you one better,” Juniper laughed. “I still have them on social media. Lois likes to post her anniversary photos every year as their wedding photo. I’ve not been on any social media at all since the split so logging on I’ll probably get a million notifications. She passed her phone to her mother, “would you do the honors and find Lois‘ page and locate their wedding photo?

please.”

“One of the more recent ones is in all caps calling you a cheater.”

“Dad is working on getting your divorce expedited, Juniper. You don’t need to be associated with them at all. Delete it all.

Delete and block them.” Beni said seriously. “You owe them nothing.”

“I can’t block them until I find the photo,” Maeve grimaced as she scrolled through Lois‘ page. “Man, she’s a whiny bitch. I have her silenced on my page, so I don’t see all this crap, but she really likes to post things nobody gives a fuck about.” Her fingers were gliding over the screen and then she found the photo and held it up to Inigo and Anna. “Is this him?”

Inigo’s lips curled up into a hateful sneer, “it is. He was married at the time he dated my Martina?”

“If it was around the time I was with Fermín, then yes because Kyst is a year older than Juni.”

Inigo looked at Juniper, “please my darling granddaughter, please let us destroy this man and his son for their shameless behavior. I beg you.”

Juniper shrugged, “as long as nobody dies, have at it,” 5/6
