Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 132

After sorting her dried herbs, Larissa decided to visit Regal City’s main auction house to sell them. As soon as she got in the car, her phone rang.

It was Nightveil.

“Boss, Leopold’s scandal is out, just like you wanted. But Finley’s team moved fast. They’ve spent a fortune trying to suppress it.”

Larissa had expected as much.

“I see,” she said with a smile. “Let him spend his money. You just keep spending more to spread it.”

A war of attrition fought with paid trolls? She could play that game all day. Once her herbs were auctioned off, she would have more than enough capital to crush both Leopold and Finley, with plenty left over for her projects back in the village. She was going to make them choke on their own incompetence.

Nightveil understood immediately. The boss was slowly chipping away at their defenses, letting them experience the soul-crushing despair of utter helplessness. Paxton’s family deserved every bit of it for their arrogance.

“Yes, boss… By the way, there’s someone else buying trolls to slander Leopold. I traced the IP address. It’s Honora.”

Larissa chuckled. “Of course. Honora knows Leopold will blame me, so she’s making it worse to fuel his hatred.”

It was almost funny. She didn’t want Leopold’s acceptance, so why would she fear his hatred?

His phone rang, shattering the quiet. He let it ring for a moment before opening his eyes. Seeing the caller ID, his expression darkened, but he answered reluctantly.

“Finley, did you pay to have the posts about Leopold and the dress taken down?”

Finley gritted his teeth, forcing himself to remain calm despite her condescending tone. “Yes, I did. Leopold is an artist at Starlight Media, and he’s my brother. Is it so strange that I would protect his reputation?”

A light laugh came from the other end. “The thing is, I want Leopold’s reputation ruined. I want him to never work as a pop star again. Are you sure you want to interfere? Don’t forget, you’re still carrying a poison that only I can cure.”
