“Larissa was injured in the accident too, Vivica,” he said in a low, stern voice. “Do you really think she would risk her own life just to harm Leopold?”

“Of course she would! It’s too much of a coincidence!” Vivica retorted. “Dad, I’ve let your favoritism slide in the past, but this is about my son’s life! If you don’t give us justice for this, I will kill Larissa myself!”

At this, Finley’s face grew even paler. If she wasn’t lying, then Leopold had definitely tampered with her brakes. He hoped his brother had covered his tracks, or he would not only have nearly lost his life for nothing but would also be exposed as the true culprit.
