Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 221

Mr. Lawson didn’t know what Larissa was planning, but he knew better than to question her. He agreed instantly. “Of course, you call the shots! As long as you keep supplying me and don’t take your herbs to any other auction houses, I’m happy.”

To Mr. Lawson, Larissa was his cash cow, and he had no intention of letting such a valuable asset slip through his fingers.

Larissa smiled. “Don’t worry. As long as you play fair, Mr. Lawson, our partnership will continue.”

“Haha, you don’t have to worry about that,” he said quickly. “I wouldn’t dare try anything funny with you watching.”

“By the way, my engagement party with Haskell is this Saturday. I’d be honored if you could come,” Larissa said with a graceful smile as she prepared to leave.

Mr. Lawson was floored, practically glowing with flattered surprise. He nodded eagerly. “Absolutely, absolutely! It would be my greatest honor to receive an invitation from you, Ms. Judson. I was worried you might not think me worthy of one!”

He knew Haskell’s engagement party would be the most talked-about event in all of Regal City. If he could use this opportunity to rub shoulders with the city’s elite, it would only help solidify his position as the owner of the largest auction house.

“I’ll be going now.”

“Of course! Take care, Ms. Judson!”

After respectfully seeing Larissa out, Mr. Lawson immediately called Finley.

“Hello, Mr. Judson. You asked me to keep an eye out for that mysterious poison expert, didn't you?”

“You have news about her?!” Finley’s voice crackled with excitement on the other end of the line.

“Yes… I do. The expert had someone deliver some exceptionally rare herbs to me today, with a message that she’ll be attending the auction in person this weekend.”

If that expert could truly cure him, he would meet any demand, no matter how steep. This was his only chance to finally break free from Larissa’s control. Once he was no longer under her thumb, he could focus all his energy on fighting back against her relentless encroachment on his family. She had already seized thirty percent of Starlight Media; he would be damned if he let her get her hands on another share.

East Wing Villa.

When Larissa returned from the auction house, she was greeted by her mother’s voice the moment she walked in.

“Larissa, you’re back! Jett just came by to get the guest list for Saturday from your dad and me. My side is mostly family, and your father is inviting close friends and business partners. What about you? Are you planning on inviting everyone from the village?”

Larissa sank into the empty space on the sofa next to her. “You and Dad can give your list to Grandpa first. I’ll write mine out tonight and send it directly to Haskell.”
