Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 308

“That’s right,” Finley said through gritted teeth. “Once I’m free of the poison you used on me, I’ll no longer be under your control!”

Honora froze, the realization dawning on her. “Finley, were you only listening to her because she poisoned you?”

Finley nodded grimly. “I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to worry, Honora. But now, all I have to do is meet the expert Mr. Lawson mentioned. Once he cures me, I’ll be free from her threats, and the poison in your system can be cured too.”

Larissa shattered his fantasy. “Don’t get your hopes up, Finley. My poisons can only be cured by me.”

Finley’s expression faltered, but he quickly recovered. “Don’t overestimate yourself. There’s always someone better in Regal City. Once I meet the poison expert, you’ll see that you’re not the only one with skills!”

“Fine, don’t believe me. Good luck with that,” Larissa said, then turned to Avril. “Come on, the auction is about to start. Let’s go to our suite.”

“A suite?” Avril exclaimed. “Larissa, I heard that only people with a net worth of over ten billion who have Mr. Lawson’s approval get a private suite here! Even in our family, only Haskell and my grandfather get that privilege! You’re incredible!”

Just then, Larissa’s voice drifted over again. “By the way, Finley, you were just coming from the private suite area, weren’t you? I assume you wanted a suite but got turned away? Did you not qualify?”

Finley knew she was mocking him—mocking the fact that he had no company shares, was about to lose control of Starlight Media, and had been stripped of his inheritance.

But it was all true. He could only swallow his humiliation and clench his teeth in silence.
