Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 336

Avril: [Whoa! You’re amazing, Larissa! Next time I find a boyfriend, you have to check him for me! I have high standards. The man I sleep with has to be completely clean!]

Larissa: [No problem.]

...

That evening, Paxton stormed into the house, his face a mask of fury. He had just heard from Vivica that their son, Finley, had been poisoned by Larissa. The news had hit him like a lightning bolt, and he had rushed home immediately.

He summoned Finley to him at once. “Your mother told me you were poisoned by Larissa. Is it true?”

Finley was taken aback for a moment, but he quickly realized Honora must have told their mother. He nodded slowly. “Yes.”

Paxton’s brow furrowed, his expression growing darker. “Why didn’t you tell your mother and me about this?”

“Dad, I didn’t want to worry you,” Finley answered, unable to meet his father’s eyes. “I thought I could handle it myself.”

The explanation did little to quell Paxton’s anger. His gaze fell to Finley’s right foot. “Then I suppose that monster is responsible for your leg, too?”

Finley lowered his head in silent confirmation.

Finley’s face paled with horror. “Dad, you don’t mean…”

“That’s right,” Paxton said, his voice like ice. “That monster Larissa may be powerful, but Sapphira isn’t!”

Finley was horrified. “Dad, my leg and the poison are Larissa’s doing. It has nothing to do with Aunt Sapphira. Maybe we shouldn’t…”

“Don’t be a fool!” Paxton cut him off. “You’ve been hurt like this, and you think Sapphira and Neville are blameless? If they hadn’t gone behind our backs and acknowledged that monster, would she be running wild in this house? They let her do this! I’m starting to think their passive attitude was just an act all along. What Larissa is doing to us could very well be their way of attacking us!”
