Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 376

He knew it… he had brought all of this upon himself.

And he knew that no matter what he said now, Larissa would never believe him. She would never forgive him. He couldn’t even dare to hope that she would one day acknowledge him as her brother again.

All he could do was dedicate the rest of his life to making it up to her.

With this newfound resolve, Leopold turned his gaze to Honora, still lying crumpled on the floor. He strode over to her and stomped down hard on her hand, grinding his heel into her knuckles.

“You evil woman,” he seethed. “I’m not done with you. I will torment you for the rest of your life. I will make you watch how happy my sister becomes while you live in misery! This is what you owe her!”

Honora screamed, but this time, no one came to her aid. The pain, physical and emotional, was too much to bear. She finally succumbed and passed out.

Vivica looked at Honora’s broken form, then at her husband, her eyes filled with despair. No matter how much they tortured Honora, it wouldn’t change the fact that their lives were in ruins. “Paxton, what do we do now?”

Paxton had seen the true extent of his daughter’s ruthlessness and power. If she said they had to leave, they had to leave. Antagonizing her further would only make it impossible to ever win her forgiveness.

“We move out first,” Paxton decided. “We’ll figure out the rest later.”

As long as they were alive, there was still a chance.

She then gave her husband a knowing look.

Ziggy immediately picked up his cue. “Larissa, we saw what happened with the Lincoln family today. Your mother told us the reason. With their influence, they probably won’t let this go. But don’t you worry. The Turner family may not be as powerful as the Lincolns in Regal City, but that doesn’t mean we can’t protect you.”

Gloria looked at Haskell. “Besides, you have the Palmers on your side, don’t you? The Lincolns will have to think twice before they make a move against you.”

Haskell understood their meaning perfectly. They wanted a public promise from him, in front of the Turner family, that he would protect Larissa.

In truth, even without their prompting, he would have done everything in his power to keep her safe. It wasn’t just about their engagement; he was genuinely in love with her.
