“Even if you did, sir, there’s no guarantee they would be swayed,” Magnus mumbled.

Finley slammed his hand on the desk. “Find a way. One more word of nonsense and you’re out of here right now!”

Magnus bit back his retort, muttered, “Understood,” and left the office.

Finley pinched the bridge of his nose. In the last year, the company had invested heavily in two TV series starring big-name celebrities, both of which had been spectacular flops. If they didn’t produce a hit soon, the company would be in serious trouble, and Kiernan would start to question his abilities. He needed a blockbuster to prove he could run the company.

Just then, the office door opened again.

“Finley.”

Finley looked up to see Paxton and Leopold enter. “What is it?”

As soon as Leopold had arrived at the company and heard that his older brother was back from his business trip, he had bypassed his own studio and gone straight to Finley’s office.

“Finley, you’ve been away for days. You have no idea how badly Honora has been bullied at home!”

Finley leaned back in his chair, a hint of exhaustion on his face.

“I’ve been negotiating a TV deal for our new actress, Corrina. I only just got back today. What happened? Who bullied Honora?”

He was already in a foul mood over the company’s failure to secure the rights to “Heaven’s Will” and needed an outlet for his frustration. If this so-called sister had just walked into his line of fire, he would be more than happy to oblige.
