Helena's cloudy eyes narrowed. "If her medical skills are that advanced, she was likely trained by one of these masters. That means trying to poison or drug her quietly probably won't work."

"If I'm going to use force," Lucius said, his voice turning colder, "I'm not going to be subtle about it."

Helena raised no objections. "This time, make sure it's clean. Leave no loose ends that can be traced back to you."

She tightened her grip on the prayer beads. "That little brat claims to know all our family's secrets. I'd like to see what kind of storm a little girl like her can stir up in our city."

Just then, Lucius's assistant called.

"Mr. Lincoln."

"What is it?"

"We received a tip from one of Solomon's men. Draven's flight is scheduled to land in Regal City soon."

Lucius's eyes darkened.

So Draven had been in Africa with Solomon. But why would Solomon let him return unharmed now, and more importantly, why would he make sure Lucius knew about it?

"Solomon said he heard about what happened with Jagger and wanted to do you a favor by handing over Haskell's dear brother for you to deal with."

"A favor? How generous," Lucius sneered. "Solomon just wants to use me to get rid of Haskell so he can become the Palmer family heir. Fine. I'll play along. Have our men pick Draven up."
