Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 447

Seeing his son and daughter taken away and his own fate hanging in the balance, Thatch’s demeanor shifted dramatically. He adopted a gentle, paternal tone.

“Alright, Haskell, my boy, I was wrong. I know I shouldn’t have hidden Valeria’s identity from you, and I’m sorry. But you have to believe me, I never told them to hurt you. The kidnapping, your accident… I had nothing to do with it! I swear on my life, may lightning strike me down if I’m lying!”

“Valeria was just desperate, trying to drive a wedge between us before you sent her to prison. She’s just like her mother, Thalia! Always trying to cause trouble between me and your mother…”

“Shut up,” Haskell cut in, his voice like ice. “Don’t you dare speak of my mother. You’re not worthy.”

Thatch faltered, then raised his hands in a gesture of surrender. “Okay, okay… I was wrong to have an affair with Thalia. I wronged your mother. But she seduced me.”

“Lying here in the hospital, I’ve had time to think. For the last three years, I’ve given all my attention to Draven and Valeria. I neglected you, and I let them become arrogant. It was their ambition that led to your accident, and as a father, I take full responsibility.”

“But you have to believe me, Haskell, you are my most precious son. Please, don’t be angry with me anymore. I promise, from now on, I will be the father you deserve. I’ll help you and Larissa plan the wedding. And when you have children, I’ll help you take care of them…”

“I think not,” Larissa interrupted, unable to stomach any more of his act. “So you can swap my children out for your own late-in-life bastards? No, thank you.”

Thatch was speechless.

Larissa sighed dramatically. “Crispin, stop listening to this nonsense. Take him to the asylum for lunatic. It’s where people like him belong.”

Without another word, Crispin took a rope from a bodyguard and began to tie Thatch’s hands.

“Haskell, my boy, you’ve sent your brother to prison, and now you’re sending your father to an asylum,” Thatch pleaded, making one last attempt to appeal to his son’s conscience. “You’ll be all alone.”

Crispin retrieved the gag he’d taken from Valeria and shoved it into Thatch’s mouth, silencing him for good. He then personally escorted the man away.

“Yes,” he breathed, the idea taking root. “Soon, we’ll have our children.”

...

It was nearly closing time when Larissa arrived back at Starlight Media. Her secretary, Ursa, was waiting for her, looking stressed. “Ms. Judson, Leopold has been waiting in your office for two hours.”

Larissa’s expression hardened. “I see.”

The guy was relentless.

She pushed open her office door and saw him sitting on the sofa.
