Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 457

“Of course he is. He’d spend a fortune just to make her smile.”

“I don’t know, I don’t think Livia is right for the part. She’s better at playing spoiled rich girls. Ysabel is supposed to be tough and resilient.”

“But who else is there? Among the popular young actresses right now, Livia is probably the best fit.”

“Well, whether she’s the best fit or not, Gale Entertainment is definitely getting the rights to this book. Mr. Lincoln came here in person. It’s a done deal.”

Leopold shoved his hands in his pockets, his gaze fixed on Lucius as he entered the conference hall. He knew Lucius had been trying to sabotage Starlight Media, and today’s bid for “Heaven’s Will” was part of that plan.

But Lucius was in for a rude awakening. His sister, Larissa, was about to secure the rights for Starlight Media. After all, Larissa was Field of Lari.

Twenty-five entertainment companies were competing for the rights. Sixteen were from Regal City, and the other nine had traveled from out of town. Their representatives were all seated in their designated spots.

The team from Gale Entertainment included Damon, the company’s chairman, his secretary, and Magnus, the manager who had recently defected from Starlight Media. Damon had brought Magnus along specifically to gloat.

Magnus leaned over and whispered to Damon, “Larissa’s not here. Starlight sent Ursa, Finley’s old assistant, and some new actress.”

Damon turned to Lucius, his voice full of sycophantic praise. “You see, Mr. Lincoln? Larissa is just a paper tiger. She didn’t even dare to show up today. The rights to ‘Heaven’s Will’ are as good as ours.”

Lucius, seeing that Larissa was a no-show, allowed himself a smug smile. So, the woman who had been so defiant on the phone last night had lost her nerve.

“Okay.”

After watching Crispin push Haskell into the elevator, Larissa took another one up to the fifth-floor office.

The manager of Paddy’s Home was waiting for her.

“Boss,” he said, pulling a file from a cabinet, “here are the documents you asked Nightveil to retrieve from the organization’s files, proving your identity as Field of Lari.”

Larissa took the file and sat down on the sofa to examine its contents. Inside were the original manuscript of “Heaven’s Will” and the contract she had signed with the publisher.
