Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 502

After that, he released a high-quality film every other year, silencing his critics for good.

Unfortunately, he suddenly collapsed while filming his fifth movie, and the assistant director had to complete the final half.

When the film was released, sharp-eyed fans noticed a distinct difference in quality between the first and second halves. The stark contrast only served to highlight his unparalleled skill as a director, from his masterful techniques to his killer instinct for casting.

“Let’s get down to business,” Larissa said, taking a small sip from her own coffee. “I’m entrusting you with the direction of ‘Heaven’s Will’. The lead actress is already cast, but the male lead and all other roles are yours to choose.”

Gustave nodded, setting his cup down. “Alright. You can count on me. I’ll pour every ounce of my energy into this project for you. We’re going to land a decisive blow against Gale Entertainment.”

Larissa smiled. “Gustave, do you have a place to stay in Regal City? If not, I can arrange something for you at the Judson estate.”

Gustave waved his hand dismissively. “Don’t you worry about that. My assistant has already rented a suite for me at a resort hotel for the year.”

“Okay, then. Just let me know if you need anything at all.”

After seeing Gustave off, Larissa returned to the office, where her secretary, Ursa, immediately rushed over, her eyes wide with disbelief.

“Ms. Judson, was that the Gustave? The legendary director who had to retire at the height of his career due to illness?”

As other employees stared in shock, Larissa nodded. “Yes, that’s him.”

“So, now that we have the people and the director, I want everyone to focus and work hard,” Larissa announced to the room. “If ‘Heaven’s Will’ is a hit, there will be hefty bonuses for all of you.”

“Yes, Ms. Judson!” the staff replied in unison.

Ursa’s eyes were filled with nothing but admiration. Ms. Judson had managed to bring Gustave out of retirement. He was in a different league entirely from Director Benedict!

The reply came almost instantly.

[Yes, it’s Director Gustave! The one who retired three years ago!]

Finley froze in place as if struck by lightning. The cold night wind cut through him like a knife, making him shiver. A light drizzle began to fall, the icy drops hitting his face and chilling him to the bone.

He suddenly felt ridiculous. From start to finish, he had been nothing but a pathetic clown, arrogantly thinking he could do something for his sister. In reality, he had accomplished nothing. He had changed nothing.

Just as he was drowning in self-loathing, his phone buzzed with another message.

Finley numbly lifted his phone. When he saw the sender’s name, his eyes widened in disbelief.

This time, it wasn’t from the employee. It was from his sister, Larissa.
