Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 511

At Solomon’s question, Finley’s first instinct was to look at Larissa, to gauge her reaction.

He had been torn the entire way to the Palmer estate, and even more so since she had arrived.

Should he really testify against his own sister? Would she see it as yet another betrayal?

But if he didn’t, he might lose his only chance at getting the antidote.

Seeing him staring, Larissa’s lips curled into a mocking smile. “Why are you looking at me? Solomon is the one who asked you a question.”

Her dismissive attitude was another dagger to Finley’s heart. He knew this would disappoint her yet again, but he desperately wanted to be free of the poison. The agony he felt each time it flared up was unbearable.

Even if testifying against her was a betrayal, he felt he had no other choice. It wasn't that he wanted to hurt her.

Finley clenched his fists, his mind a battlefield of conflicting emotions. Finally, he made his decision.

“Mr. Palmer,” he said, addressing Zoltan, “Miss Palmer is not lying. My sister did poison her. It’s an undetectable poison. I tried to tell my own grandfather about it, but because there was no proof, he didn’t believe me. But now, with Miss Palmer as a fellow victim, I felt I had to come forward and testify on her behalf.”

He didn't dare to look at Larissa as he spoke.

Actually, he needn’t have worried. Larissa had no interest in looking at him. She had never trusted him in the first place.

She then shot Finley a meaningful look.

Finley quickly chimed in. “Mr. Palmer, when the poison takes hold, the pain is unbearable. If it weren’t for the anesthesia, I don’t think I could have survived.”

“Grandpa, you have to help me,” Faith pleaded, her voice choked with tears. “If she doesn’t give me the antidote, Larissa will torture me to death.”

Larissa was about to deny everything again when Haskell gently patted her hand.

“I’ll handle this,” he murmured, then turned to Faith with a serene smile. “So you took videos. What a coincidence. I took one too.”
