Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 555

“Yes,” Haskell confirmed. “We’re going straight there.”

He noticed she was carrying a larger backpack instead of her usual small shoulder bag. A slight smile touched his lips. “It looks like you’ve come fully prepared for the interrogation.”

Larissa hugged the backpack to her chest and patted it. “Of course. You can’t go easy on someone like him.”

After a moment’s thought, she added, “Though, given his lack of backbone, I doubt all of my tools will be necessary.”

Haskell didn’t dispute her assessment. “Either way, I’ve already ordered lunch to be delivered to the asylum. We’ll eat first and then get down to business.”

Larissa’s face lit up. “Perfect. We’ll need our strength for what’s to come.”

...

An hour later, they arrived at the Regal City Asylum, a quiet, slightly dilapidated facility located in a remote suburb. Since they had an appointment, the director and a nurse were already there to greet them and show them to the dining hall. After their meal, they were personally escorted to Thatch’s private room.

CRASH!

As they approached the door, they heard the sound of shattering porcelain from inside.

“George! I told you to call my son! Are you deaf?”

“Why isn’t he here yet? Did you even tell him I asked for him?”

“Haskell! My dear boy! You’re finally here to see me! You’ve come to take me home, haven’t you? Look at me! I’ve become a wreck since I was brought to this place! I’m your father. How could you let me suffer like this?” Thatch cried, his voice filled with anguish.

Larissa shot back without mercy, “You remember you’re his father now? Where was that thought when you sent your illegitimate children to try and kill him?”

Thatch’s face darkened, and he glared at Larissa. “Don’t you spout your nonsense here! I never wanted to harm Haskell! He’s my most brilliant child! What would I gain from hurting him? That was all Draven and Valeria’s doing, a foolish act born of their own resentment!”

Haskell had Crispin wheel him into the room.

“I’m here to give you one last chance,” he said, his voice flat. “When you swapped my brother with your bastard son, who did you sell him to?”
