Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 636

Theon noticed his somber expression and scowled. “What’s with that reaction? I’m pulling out all the stops to promote your music, and you don’t look happy about it?”

“Mr. Tyson, he’s not unhappy,” Magnus quickly interjected. “He’s just overwhelmed by your support. Right, Leopold?”

Taking the cue, Leopold forced himself to speak. “Thank you for believing in me, Mr. Tyson. I’m very grateful.”

That seemed to satisfy him. “Good. You’ve worked hard. Once your songs blow up, I’ll talk to my father about throwing a celebration party just for you.”

“Thank you, Mr. Tyson,” Leopold repeated, the words tasting like ash.

Theon smirked and stepped closer, patting Leopold’s cheek. “Leopold, the former young master of the Judson family, now forced to live by my whims. Doesn’t feel great, does it?”

Leopold’s face darkened, but Magnus jumped in with a placating smile. “How could he dare feel that way! Look at him now, a fallen prince. He should be thanking the heavens that you’re willing to give him a chance, Mr. Tyson!”

“At least Magnus knows his place,” Theon sneered. “Alright, I’m leaving the rest of the promotion to you. Just make sure of one thing: the songs have to drop on the same day as Larissa’s birthday party.”

“You can count on it!” Magnus declared.

Once Theon was gone, Magnus’s tone hardened. “Leopold, you need to watch yourself around Theon. He’s going to be running this company, and our future depends on staying in his good graces. Stop acting like you’re still the precious Judson heir. If you want to become a star and make Larissa see you differently, you’ll swallow your pride and do as you’re told.”

Leopold clenched his fists. “I know. You don’t have to keep reminding me.”

“I wouldn’t have to if you didn’t keep forgetting your place!” Magnus retorted. “Now, go think of something to post on Twitter about your upcoming release.”

“Fine.”

...

Around noon, Larissa was packing her bag to head to the Palmer Group for Haskell’s regular treatment session when her office phone rang.

It was Haskell. He told her he was already waiting downstairs.

She quickly gathered her things and went down to meet him.

“You’re picking me up today,” she said, settling into the car. “Are we going to see Rigby so I can treat Sire?”

Haskell shook his head with a faint smile. “No. Today, we’re going to find Thatch.”
