Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 790

Haskell's lighthearted expression turned serious. "Larissa, I will not allow our wedding to be disrupted by anyone, not like our engagement party was."

A confident smile spread across her face. "Neither will I."

"Which is why anyone who might interfere," Haskell said, his voice soft but firm, "needs to be dealt with before that day comes."

"Alright, that's enough for tonight," Larissa said. "I'm going to take Sage and the others out for an all-you-can-eat feast."

At the sound of its name, Sage, who had been dozing in its bed, lifted its head, its eyes wide with anticipation. It had been snowing lately, so they hadn't been out for a proper feast in a while.

"Have fun," Haskell said. "But I am curious, don't they need to hibernate?"

Larissa laughed as she got out of bed. "Hibernation is for storing energy to survive the winter. They don't have to worry about where their next meal is coming from."

"True."

"Talk to you later, bye."

After ending the call, Haskell sent a message to Avril.

[Have you cleared out Torrin's gifts? What did he send Larissa?]

Ten minutes later, Avril replied.

[The usual. Jewelry, necklaces, bags. His latest birthday gift was a doll that was supposed to look like Larissa but doesn't, really. The craftsmanship is a bit crude. I think he made it himself instead of commissioning it.]

[What did you do with it all?]

[I was planning to ship it all back to the Dillons, but I've been busy with my livestreams, so it's still here.]

[Alright. Thank you for your hard work.]

[Not at all!!]

"Oh?" Larissa said mockingly. "I couldn't tell you were in any hurry to find your mother. I was starting to think you didn't care if she was dead or alive."

"That's not it," Fergus said quickly. "I want to find her, but I know she did wrong. I was hoping to stay here and atone for her sins."

"Atone?" Larissa repeated the word as if it were the funniest thing she'd ever heard. "You want to atone for your mother's sins? Are you serious?"

Fergus nodded earnestly. "Yes. I'm staying here partly because I have nowhere else to go, and partly to atone for what my mother did."

"So you're willing to accept the consequences, then," Larissa said, a predatory glint in her eyes.

Fergus sensed a trap, but he maintained his harmless smile. "…As long as it helps you and my aunt and uncle forgive her, I'll accept any consequence."

Larissa nodded. "Good. Now stand up and move behind your chair."

Confused but obedient, Fergus stood and walked behind his chair. The moment he was in position, Larissa swiveled in her seat and kicked his knees out from under him.
