Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 797

Seeing the words on the screen, Tawny's breath hitched. Her lips trembled, but no words came out.

After a long moment, she finally mustered her courage. "Do you like these earrings? If you don't mind, you can have them."

"I'd love that!" Larissa replied with a radiant smile.

Tawny tilted her head, unfastened the large sapphire earrings, and handed them to Larissa.

Larissa took them without hesitation and, with a sharp twist of her hands, snapped one in half. The crisp sound echoed in the quiet room.

Tawny watched, stunned.

After Larissa casually tossed the broken pieces into the trash can, Tawny finally found her voice. Her face was pale, and her words trembled slightly. "Ms. Judson, you… you knew they had listening devices inside?"

"It's an old trick," Larissa said with a shrug. Her expression turned serious. "We don't have much time. Wynn hasn't given up on you. He knows you're being threatened, so he came to me for help. If you want to save yourself, you need to listen to me."

Tears welled in Tawny's eyes at the mention of Wynn.

"He…" She trailed off, unsure what to say. Wiping her eyes, she took a deep breath. "Wynn's car accident all those years ago was deliberate. And he never cheated on me with his assistant. It was all because a man set his sights on me."

"His name is Jedidiah Zeigler, Chief of the Regal City Police Department."

The name rang a bell. "I've heard it mentioned. I think it's a place that trains... companions... for powerful people, for some kind of secret party held on an island in international waters."

"Jedidiah is extremely cautious," Tawny continued, her eyes darkening. "He only ever saw me to sleep with me. So I don't know much. If you're looking for evidence from me, you'll be disappointed. I can't help you."

"That's alright. What did that drawing you posted mean?" Larissa asked suddenly.

Tawny flinched. "…It's nothing," she mumbled.

"Wynn said you were in danger. Were you planning to kill yourself?" Larissa asked bluntly.
