Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 814

“Well, fine,” Larissa said, a little disappointed.

“Damn,” she thought. “So Fergus was careful enough not to injure himself at home. Cunning little bastard!”

The whole ordeal dragged on into the evening before Larissa was finally able to leave the station.

Lucius, however, would remain in custody for further questioning until Fergus was found.

It was eight o’clock by the time Larissa got back to the east wing villa. As she walked in, she saw her father, Neville, sitting on the sofa, keeping her mother company.

The moment Sapphira saw her, she sprang up and rushed to Larissa’s side, grabbing her hand. “Larissa, are you alright?” she asked anxiously.

“I’m fine, Mom.”

“Thank goodness,” Sapphira said, then lowered her voice. “Where did you take Fergus? The police didn’t find out you were the one who moved him, did they?”

“Don’t worry, Mom,” Larissa reassured her. “I had someone wipe all the relevant surveillance footage. The police won’t be able to trace it back to me. But the evidence I gave them against Lucius is solid. There won’t be any problems there.”

Sapphira finally let out a breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding. “That’s good. It’s a good thing you moved Fergus when you did, or we’d be in real trouble.”

Neville, who had been quiet until now, finally spoke up. “Larissa, what are your plans for Fergus? Are you just going to keep him locked up?”

“For now, yes,” Larissa replied. “Based on Lucius’s reaction today, he seems to care a great deal about him. If Lucius tries to pull any more stunts against our family, we might be able to use that to our advantage.”

Zoltan Palmer, the family patriarch, sat in the main armchair, his voice low and serious as he broke the silence. “I’ve been informed about the African non-ferrous metals shipment being seized by domestic authorities due to contraband.”

His gaze settled on Solomon. “What exactly was the contraband?”

“Someone intentionally mixed radioactive materials into the ore,” Solomon answered, his voice tight with anger and frustration.

Zoltan’s brow furrowed, his expression turning grave. He took a small sip of coffee before speaking again. “What measures have you and your father taken?”

“The moment it happened, my father instructed our team in Africa to review all surveillance from the mining area, GPS tracking logs for the transport, and loading records,” Solomon reported. “They’re cross-referencing everything to see if there were any unauthorized stops or suspicious personnel contact during transit.”

He then looked up, his eyes flashing with malice. “Grandpa, the reason I came today is to request permission to investigate Haskell’s communication records and financial transactions for the past three months! I strongly suspect he was behind this!”
